    Black Screen and Account Issues


    While playing Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, I started to experience long periods of the "black screen of death." The first time lasted about two minutes, then the screen came back. I pressed the home button (the big X button in the middle of the controller) and
    the console automatically signed me in. The black screen happened again, but now when I press the home button I get signed in, but it goes directly to my game and signs me out again. I'd turn off the console for ten seconds like the troubleshooting says, but
    I don't want to lose my progress. Does anyone know how I can sign in and save before power cycling my console?

    Hey there Colmac,

    Some people were experiencing the screen freeze and black screen with Black Ops during the outage.

    Are you still having these issues?

    Power off the console and reset it. Ensure ALL cables are removed from the console for at least thirty minutes. If, upon powering up the console afterwards, the co sole does the same, a service is required.

Something curious is that even if its a black screen I can still hear the xbox sounds and games, but only the black screen is the issue...
