black screen after starting game or application

hello. When I turn my xbox 360 it starts up fine. however, when I go to start a game or application the screen just goes black. Then if I click on "xbox dashboard" and click yes to the "are you sure" question that pops up, the xbox freezes. If I turn the
xbox off after this happens the frozen screen stays on my tv display for about 30 seconds. any help?

Jigsaw problems relevant to the Day Challenge

Starting from about a week ago also if the game is still working there are no possibility to play the daily challenge, because of when I chose one of the three games starts the preparation for the advertisement but the spot does not start and after a while
appears the starting screen of the game without the possibility to click on the start button and after some seconds the application shut-down itself.

I tried to remove the application and re-install it again but without any results.

Having trouble getting game loaded on the first attempt. It goes to just a black screen after the main title screen, and will only start after starting to load different game then it will work fine. I just upgraded to the 1TB and redownloaded and it still
does the same thing. Is anyone else having this prob or know of a working solution?!

I have the exact same issue.

Have not found a work around yet. Even when I disconnect my Network, it still won't Launch any games or apps.

Looking Forward to a timely fix here

 

According to a man I spoke to at Xbox tech support it's a pretty common problem right now and should be fixed for everyone within 24 hours

 

I wonder why it still impacts gaming, even when I am offline.

 

My thoughts exactly. That's what made me think maybe I had a hard drive issue and would have to buy a new one, but hopefully it gets fixed by xbox

 

Oh, hey. Going offline actually fixes the issue.

I needed to restart my Xbox first.

So, to get arround this, simply disconnect your WiFi or cable Connection. Restart your Xbox and enjoy good old offline gaming

 

Xbox Team, this is still an issue.

It was solved for me. Try clearing your system cache three times, and delete and reinstall the system update. That made mine work

 

I think Microsoft/Xbox needs to offer some sort of compensation for all our troubles!! This is ridiculous! This is a device and services/apps/games that we have PAID FOR and are unable to use!!!

 

I have tried all of these "fixes" still to no avail. Very frustrated and almost read to take all my Xbox 360 stuff and games and such and trade it all in to get a different (i.e. NON MICROSOFT) game platform!

 

Having the same issue with my YouTube App. I'm getting black screen when I try to launch it. The only way to get out of it is to restart my console. Other apps are ok. Please fix this as soon as possible. This is my primary device to watch youtube.
