    Hello, my TV screen goes black after the Xbox one start up and does nothing I've gone through troubleshooting steps I've changed television's,HDMI's I've even cleaned my Xbox also I've checked on YouTube and nothing seems to work

    Black screen after start up screen?

    I tried everything when this happened to me and then I tried the last step which was to reload the last software update with usb flash drive. If you've tried everything then XBOX support told me either to send it in to them or take it back to the point
    of purchase. I just took it back because I'm not waiting up to 7 weeks to get my Xbox One replaced. Hope the best for you and your replacement if needed.

    Black screen after start up screen?

    Turned on my Xbox one this morning to discover that after the start up screen the console continues to run but the screen is black. Tried a hard restart tried leaving it for hours, nothing works. Anyone got the same issue or a solution?

    If the system isn't starting up at all and you've tried all the power up issue trouble shooting,

    support.xbox.com/.../tv-or-monitor-screen-is-blank-while-connected    ,

    then you may have a corrupted OS and may need to restore the system back to factory defaults. Give all the above trouble shooting a shot and if none of that works then we can go with the Nuclear Option and restore the system. To do the restore just follow
    the steps here:
    support.xbox.com/.../offline-system-update-diagnostic-tool    , and when you get to step 2 just pick the file for the Restore Factory Defaults.

    Let me know how it goes.

    I've tried the whole trouble shooting thing it didn't work and once the start up screen has gone it goes black and stays like that nothing changes It doesn't load to home or anything I might have to send it to Xbox

    I'd give the restore option a shot, it's really not that hard if you have a thumb drive and access to a computer. And honestly it beats waiting to either get a new one or get your repaired and sent back, but it's your call.

    @bigbenx88 Thank you. Unfortunately I had to resort to the restore option (Nuclear) but it got my box working again and save me from having to ship I off for repairs. Fortunately thanks to my external drive and the xbox cloud restoration was not too difficult.

    Black screen after start up screen?

    Eject any Discs in the xbox tray.

    You can try and reset the HDMI settings by powering off with the hard power off.

    When its turned off, press the power and eject button at the same time, until you hear the on beep.

    Then you should be able to navigate to settings and display and sound.

    Try like 720p, And other RGB Settings. Until you find something that works for you.

    Let me know if that works.

    Tried that! The logo and start up screen appears then a black screen so the HDMI is perfect

    Is the xbox HDMI connected directly to the TV?

    In that case try that, and also try another HDMI port on the TV.
