Black screen after start up screen?

Turned on my Xbox one this morning to discover that after the start up screen the console continues to run but the screen is black. Tried a hard restart tried leaving it for hours, nothing works. Anyone got the same issue or a solution?

Hello, my TV screen goes black after the Xbox one start up and does nothing I've gone through troubleshooting steps I've changed television's,HDMI's I've even cleaned my Xbox also I've checked on YouTube and nothing seems to work

Is the xbox HDMI connected directly to the TV?

In that case try that, and also try another HDMI port on the TV.

Tried that! The logo and start up screen appears then a black screen so the HDMI is perfect

 

I'm having the same issue black screen after XBOX logo and tried resetting it and honestly quite irate. I've had an XBOX 360 and a live account more than 8 years (had a prior gamertag since the launch of XBOX 360) and I dealt with all of this with the 360
launch. I didn't think I would have to go through this all over again and this time I'm pretty frustrated because I moved my blu-ray to another room and changed my whole entertainment system to work around the XO. It's not easy moving a large television
and whole entertainment center when setting up new equipment. Now I can't watch blu-rays in my living room or play my XO games. Is Microsoft just trying to push me over to Sony because when I called the customer service number all they said, "well take it
back with a receipt to where you purchased it or if we do it, it's going to take 6-8 weeks."

 

Eject any Discs in the xbox tray.

You can try and reset the HDMI settings by powering off with the hard power off.

When its turned off, press the power and eject button at the same time, until you hear the on beep.

Then you should be able to navigate to settings and display and sound.

Try like 720p, And other RGB Settings. Until you find something that works for you.

Already tried all of the suggested solutions, still no fix

 

I tried everything when this happened to me and then I tried the last step which was to reload the last software update with usb flash drive. If you've tried everything then XBOX support told me either to send it in to them or take it back to the point
of purchase. I just took it back because I'm not waiting up to 7 weeks to get my Xbox One replaced. Hope the best for you and your replacement if needed.
