black ops two account not allowed

Everytime i click on xbox live in black ops 2 the error message the current profile is not allowed to play on xbox live and i just got off a chat with a member of the xbox helpers and she said to come here because i will be helped with my problem.

In addition to Swmutches question I wanted to add that If you just purchased or redeemed a code for Xbox Live Gold, sometimes it can take 24 to 48 hours for the subscription to update across the services including on Activision's servers. That's generally
when we see this error message. Activision Support has created a support page
HERE with more information as well. So if you have just redeemed or purchased Xbox Live Gold for your account, give it the full 24-48hrs and then let us know if you're still having problems.

Then Black Ops 2 requires them to have an Xbox LIVE Gold account. Not all games allow guest account play. Suggest you discuss that with Activision Black Ops support at 1-800-225-6588 or at

I have only ever completed Call Of Duty 4 and Black Ops. And out of those two, Black Ops was best.
