Black Ops II

The amount of cheating in Black Ops II is utterly ridiculous. Every lobby in Multiplayer is either being hacked. people are cheating. Everyone that doesn't cheat gets frustrated and gets off the game system. People are running around invisible, Warships
are being landed on the ground. People are dropping 100's of care packages on the ground. I have had several friends who have to create a whole new gamer profile because their regular account has been hacked. This means all the progress that they have gained
within the game has been lost. They have to log into two different profiles to able to utilize the map packs they have paid for. It is not just an occasional lobby. It has been practically every lobby you enter. People are using God Mode. We pay a lot of money
to use the Gold. What is the use of continuing if you can't enjoy it. There are a lot of people frustrated by this. This may result in a lot of people switching game systems.

Sorry you're having issues playing this game. It's not Microsoft's fault that this game (along with some other Call of Duty games) are now infested with mods and cheats. It is up to Activision to patch their games to remove these kind of players. Unfortunately,
patching games isn't free, it costs considerable time and resources. This is now rather an old game. Changing platforms won't help, the PS3 has exactly the same issues. Check YouTube or the PSN forums for proof.

To understand how and why this is occurring and can't easily be stopped, you need to understand how these older Call of Duty games work online. For starters, they don't use dedicated servers. Yes, there is a Call of Duty 'Server', but it doesn't host matches.
It's function is for matchmaking and record online progress. The games themselves are actually hosted by other players. Once the correct amount of players are matched together, the system chooses a host to act as the server for that game, and possibly subsequent
games. Now I don't know exactly how the modding takes place, nor could I discus it in depth here if I did, but I do know is they act as like an infection. This is why you'll see nearly everyone in a game with the same pointless abilities.

These kinds of mods/hacks don't tend to be an issue on the latest call of Duty games. COD WW2 runs on dedicated servers that practically can't be modified externally.

If you want to complain, you need to direct your complaint in the direction of Activision. It is they who are responsible for the calamity these older games are now subject to.
