Black Ops 3 - Why Bother for Last Gen?

I've read that DLC Maps and Campaign will NOT be featured in Black Ops 3 for last gen (XBOX 360/PS3), so it kind of begs the question why even bother having it on the last gen systems at all.. is a "watered-down" version better then no version at all?

COD was one of the few companies that offered deals if you switched to new gen and had a copy on old gen, so I would suggest it makes sense to them.

Also it could be they are trying to improve customer views, better than not even trying for last gen, I guess it will depend on price.......are they going to be paying the same for less? (if so its just greed)

Because much more people are on last gen than there are on this gen. Only about 20 of my friends from Xbox 360 have an Xbox 1 console. I got Xbox 1 Day 1 with Kinect I even went to the midnight launch (I've had Xbox since late 2010). But to this day, I still
play more on Xbox 360. Microsoft made last gen so fun and great, that it still has more people on it. And that's why game developers are still making games for last gen. This gen has better graphics, but if your friends and a higher population are hanging
around on last gen, I'd rather join them than play on current gen kind of isolated. I love Zombies COD BO2. I have the most kills out of my full Xbox 360 friends list. Yet I've only made an extra 8 friends on Xbox 1 (friends list on Xbox 1 reads 109 people)
since I view Xbox 360 more socially easier to play on. I could build up my friends list on Xbox 1 to say 150+ people, but I haven't really tried even though I have several Xbox 1 games including Halo Forza COD etc. Microsoft hasn't terminated Xbox Live support
for last gen.... I wonder why.......................................

What Lei Fang said, is very true. Even ask Microsoft. Millions more are still hanging around on last gen compared to the 12 or 13 million or so people, who have an Xbox 1 console. Xbox 360 last gen probably has like 18+ million users on it. Many people and
my friends I've met on Xbox 360 say they don't like that Windows 8 UI Xbox 1 has. And this gen Xbox 1 did kind of get off to a bit of a rough start - 2 policy reversals by Microsoft, Microsoft had to make an official feedback site due to the amount of feedback
about Xbox 1, and how at launch, Xbox 1 couldn't do half the Xbox Live Features stuff, which Xbox 360 could do like voice messaging change dash background and kind of a sluggish UI. Though I do say things on Xbox 1 have improved since launch. But if you have
good friends who play on last gen, it makes you want to play on last gen, than play with better graphics on this gen without them.

 

Just red that the older gens have a lower price, which is good, but MP and zombies is where the bigger player base is for COD, so a clever move, although why didn't they introduce dedicated servers.

I agree with "smileskybird" in regards to the fact that gaming is where your friends are

It makes perfect sense to stick with the Xbox 360 when the MAJORITY of the people that you play with are still on the Xbox 360

Once the MAJORITY of friends upgrade to the Xbox One, the others will follow

This is like hanging out with your friends to go shopping LOL

If a new mall opens but your friends go to the other mall, I am going to be in the other mall and not in the new mall
