Black ops 3/ Can't login as guest to play split screen

I just bought black ops 3 and I am trying to play split screen bUT guest isnt an option. So instead I created my friend a new account and added xbox live to it and now I can't figure out how to add that second account to a game on black ops 3 to play split
screen. What am I doing wrong?

In Black Ops 3, you can play all modes of play: Multiplayer and Zombies, in both local and online split-screen. Both Multiplayer and Zombies support 4-player local split-screen, and 2-player split-screen online. Team up through the entire campaign, built
from the ground up around four player co-op play.

Select play local and then press the Xbox button on your second controller. It'll ask you who is using this profile, but you want to select New user. You'll see the guest option there. After that, just press a button and your buddy will be in as a guest

multiplayer split screen Call of Duty: black ops

I have until the last week been able to play black ops in a multiplayer split screen mode by logging in a guest to my profile, now everytime I try to log a guest in it logs them off as the profile is already being used????

The last gen versions of the game (Xbox 360 and PS3) do not support onlinr splitscreen. Only the curreny gen (Xbox One and PS4) do.

on xbox 360 I bought black ops 3 then my friend came over my house so then we started playing black op 3 and we both signed in to our accounts and we both can't play split screen

when playing 2 player or split screen you will not be able to talk because there are restrictions on blacks ops 2 the only way to be able to talk is to change the other player from a guest into a actual xbox live gold account

if you mean split screen on line multi player

you can only do that with black ops --- modern warfare 3 and black ops 2

you can not split screen with cod 4

Are all 3 of you trying to play on the same xbox? Black ops 4 can only split screen with 2 people. It cannot split to 3 or to 4. That might be your issue.
