Black Ops 2 Multiplayer freezing issue

I've searched countless hours on how to fix this issue bur i couldn't find any. The issue is whenever i select multiplayer on the menu, the screen shades over a little bit (it doesn't go black) and it freezes and i can't even get to the multiplayer menu,
i can play zombies perfectly and campaign, but I miss killing people on multiplayer, i can't play with my friends or anything, and when I try and join their games it freezes, can someone explain and try and help me with this issue. I could play multiplyer
before though. P.S. there's a little circular scratch on the disc, i tried to fix it but it won't go away, its from the xbox 360, having played it so many times it has gotten a srcatch on it. I have tried to do everything to fix this issue like clearing system
cashe, installing it, which didn't work. and cleaning the disc, but nothing worked out.

for some reason black ops 2 multiplayer freezes anyone have any hints to stop it freezing

I was wondering if anyone has been having problems on live? Example losing connection. Xbox freezing. Playing on black ops 2 and cannot see weapon in multiplayer. Any problems at all in black ops 2 online?? Thx.

 

Mine is doing the exact same thing. It was working perfectly fine and then someone kicked my xbox over with the game in. Now whenever I try to load multiplayer it freezes. What I don't understand is why it would freeze the whole xbox if it was only due to
a fault with the disk..?
