Black Ops 1

Just picked up the game. Downloading now from the Xbox Store.

 

Really enjoying this again. What I'm not enjoying is getting a match with mortars and nerve gas non-stop. Had to back out a few times today.

 

How is the frame rate holding up?

 

Was thinking about booting it up, then watched a streamer who was playing it and I though ohhhhh sticks and stones yesssss, then he said look I'm host, wooop for the host advantage, then the feeling of why I don't play it came along and i can live without
it.

 

@Mogwai Warrior: Don't know if you've played it yet on Xbox One but I have and I can tell you that the frame rate seems fine to me. I have no idea what it's like for Single player though, but multi-player felt the same as on a 360.

I played about three maps, all were silky smooth. They've done a good job with it.

 

This is currently £12.99 @ Argos, £28 @ GAME and it was £4 @ CEX but they've upped it to £8 yet they have zero stock. It's selling for £20-25 on eBay too. But it's on sale digitally at the moment!

I was tempted...then I looked at Fallout 4 and Far Harbour, Dirt Rally, The Division 1.2 patch is out next week and I'm still yet to start The Witcher 3! Not to mention the other unstarted/unfinished games I have.

Great campaign though.

 

So I gave it a go last night, It's just like the old times! Hosting every match and getting 1 or 2 bar wonders who are local or from NZ. Apart from some players jumping around like an old Nintendo Game & Watch, this cod is way more fun than the last few.
It was a pleasure to play And I'll be back on tonight for a while. Oh, I noticed there's a tonne of hacked games in the archives which is sad. Also, has anyone been able to download their dlc? I have 3 of the 4 map packs.

 

I downloaded all of my DLC without issue.

 

^ Ok thanks, I'll try again tonight. What I like about the 360 and cod was adding the map packs to a thumb drive and than manually choosing whether to play them or not.

Digital Foundry recently did a test on Black Ops running on the Xbox One. In some spots it runs better than the 360.

 

I downloaded it yesterday via my 360. This game is a gem I had forgot about. The MP is very smooth, great graphics and controls. Love having the claymores back and the crossbow!

 

For some reason is showing as £44 in the UK store, no option for Gold reduction. Yet it's $9.99 in the US store with a Gold reduction. Any ideas on how I can get it for $9.99?. I don't have a 360 either. If I use the Xbox dashboard it says it's unavailable
and to go to Xbox.com.

 

Installed this last night, looking at my stats I didn't realise how little I actually played this then after a couple of games I remembered why, *** qs

And I know it's a six year old game but what is with the lag? Everybody is surely on better connections, one game last night migrated host 8 times

 

TheMapleKid, you could buy the 360 disc version for next to nothing and it will install the game online, That's how I did it.

 

Cheers ReEye, looks like my only option. Was hoping to go digi though.
