Black Ops 1--Still cannot connect to online servers

I have had this game since it became backwards compatible. I have tried both the disc version as well as purchasing a digital copy and neither one will connect to the online servers. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both versions of the game multiple times
as well as hard restarting my console. I have also done the resetting of my console twice. I have even tried the deleting xbox 360 data from the storage and nothing has worked. My account has not been banned as I created a new account and was still unable
to connect to the servers. The game has been backwards compatible for almost a week now, does anyone know of a fix for this? All I wanna do is play Black Ops 1 on my xbox one and enjoy some old school CoD.

Disconnected from XBL when trying to play Black Ops on Xbox One

I attempted the factory reset and it still will not let me connect to black ops 1 servers.

Known problem with Activision,
support.activision.com/.../Cannot-connect-to-an-online-game has useful information.

So that we can best help out can you please clarify what error you get when you try to play online? Thanks for getting us that information when you can.

 

The issue is that when we load up the game, it says "disconnected from xbox live", then when we try to play multiplayer or whatever, it asks us to sign in. So we select the profile to sign in under, but then an error pops up saying it can't connect and puts
us back to the menu. It's quite infuriating when all we want to do is play an awesome game like this.

I do not get an actual error code at all. It simply says that i cannot currently connect to the black ops servers and to check www.callofduty.com/blackops for status and updates. In essence I get the same message that would appear if the servers themselves
were not functioning. My 360 emulator appears to be connected to xbox live, as I can see my friends list and send messages, however for some reason I just cannot seem to connect to the black ops 1 online servers for multiplayer or zombies.

i tried creating a new gamertag to see if my original one was banned and it still did not connect to the servers

Do you happen to have multiple consoles connected to your router? You could be seeing this because you are running into a NAT issue on your console, if that's the case.

If you don't, I suggest making sure you have the CoD ports open for your console. You can see how to do that

here. For specifics on how to do that on your personal router, I suggest checking out the manual for that router.

I was finally able to get it to work. I had port forwarded my xbox one before, however I think I messed up, misread the directions and used the wrong static IP address. I went into my router settings and switched it to the correct static IP as well as listed
my xbox one as a trusted computer and was able to get it to work. Thanks for the help, I would have never thought to go back through the port forwarding procedure and check for errors. If anyone else has comcast internet I would suggest going into your router
settings and make sure your xbox OS is a "trusted" computer as well as double checking your port forwarding.

 

I just found a fix to my problem which was like this. I made sure my NAT type is open.

Go to windows Cmd (command prompt) and type in "ipconfig /flushdns" and it worked for me right after that!! Goodluck!

Sorry to inform you but that is a coincidence,

the only thing that does is remove the DNS cache ( Domain Name Server ) Registration information for the actual computer your on nothing more. The other command registerdns will reregister the DNS.
