    Black ops 1 Backwards Compatibility Issues


    Hi, I just downloaded black ops 1 on to my XO (base game and all dlc) and when I tried to play the game, it gave me a message saying "this game has not yet been released, if you're sure it has, try restarting your console. If this doesn't work, wait for
    the game to be released". I know the game had been released because Major Nelson confirmed it. I called Microsoft support and they told me they don't have a resolution to this error at the moment. I was wondering if anybody else has been having this issue
    or if I'm the only one and if the Microsoft support team is working to resolve this issue. Thanks!

    BLACK OPS 1 ?

    Hey there KonsolenOpa!

    As TheyCallMeBlitz has stated above, Black Ops 1 is only available to play on the Xbox 360 console. For further information regarding future titles that will included in the Backward Compatibility catalogue, check out our

    They had me do that when I called Microsoft support and I was still receiving the same message. I uninstalled that game and I am waiting for it to reinstall to see if that may have helped at all.

    Hello there.

    Can you please try to go to

    Settings > All Settings > System > Storage > Clear local Xbox 360 Storage.

    After this try to run the game again.

    Hit me up if it works.

    Oh and COD Black Ops 1 is now backward compatible. Also deals with gold have tons of COD's on sale. So they may eventually becomes backward compatible as well. Also Red Dead Redemption should eventually be backward compatible.
