Black media remote

Additional - This is the original white universal media remote, not the newer black one.

Except for a single light around the "OK" button in the center, no, it does NOT light-up! And that's why, even though I wanted a black remote ever since buying an Xbox 360 Elite 4 years ago, I refuse to buy the new remote. They should have just reissued
the original Xbox 360 Media Remote with a black shell on it. And they should have done it 4 years ago, when the Elites came out!

Instead, I used eBay to track down a Snakebyte Xbox 360 Media Remote Elite Edition from the UK! Unlike most 3rd party, unlicensed remotes, it works every bit as well as the official one from Microsoft, and it has a BLACK shell and keys that are backlit
like the keys on the original Microsoft Media Remote! They're ridiculously hard to find, as few dealers sell them, but if you can get your hands on one, it's the black remote that Microsoft's SHOULD have been! ^_^

The other option is to order a skin for the original Media Remote, but I couldn't find any plain black ones, and the ones I found that were mostly black, I just plain didn't like. >_<

Still, that last option is cheaper than the option I chose, due to the cost of Air Mail shipping from the UK to the US. And as with many other such things, Your Mileage May Vary, so it's entirely possible one of the available options for a (mostly) black
Media Remote Skin WOULD be to your liking.

Have you tried removing these apps from the console then restart the console and re install the app to see if this helps at all?

Well I thought even though it said I had latest update maybe I needed go to YouTube or Netflix app to update again so I went to he game and app section and actually ALL my content was in continuos loading limbo. I couldn’t even see the thumbnails just completely
stuck. Had me really panicked at first.

I had tried to download the free West world avatar stuff which sent me to the avatar app and selected to download it. For whatever reason it froze my stuff yet I could still watch YouTube or Netflix in my home screen pin thumbnails. Yet half of my media
function buttons wouldn’t work. It was when I tried play a game and realized I couldn’t access anything not in my pins.

I couldn’t even get to the updating section of the game/app section to stop it from updating. Multiple restarts and unplugging. I finally disabled the automatic downloads then went to the avatar app through the Xbox store and thank goodness was able to stop
it from there. But I had no control in the game/app section. Hard restart and now I have access to my games and now the remote is fully functional.

Very wierd.

Also by the way the link you sent me mentions nothing about specific apps to remove. I kept searching that link if I was missing something. But I guess just some software downloading thing.

Well remote works and now my games periodically just will not show up at all. I go to game app and it’s just the loading symbol in limbo online and offline. I want to turn this thing on and play this is ridiculous
