    Hi

    My friend recently bout an Xbox One, turned it on, fine and tried Videos and gets these black lines (see pic)

    Games work fine, but viewing vids on Upload gets the black lines too, any ideaS?

    No video

    Turning my Xbox on and all I can see is black and white lines across the screen, sound is there but no video just the black and white lines. Unplugging the avg cable doesn't make a difference to this. Can some one help?

    Try to switch up the cables. There might be some issue with transferring the graphics data off of the disc in to the graphics processing unit. The graphics card also might be damaged or faulty. If you have any warranty left, see if you can get yours repaired
    or even getting a replacement. This sounds like something you can not take care of yourself.
