Black blinking screen after going through logo screen

Hello everyone.

This is my first time posting on the forums, but after trying to figure out my xbox one problem by myself I decided to give this a shot.

My problem: After turning on my xbox one and waiting through the green logo screen it should just login to the dashboard, instead it goes from the green screen to a black blinking screen. This seems to be different from the "black screen of death" since
I haven't found any other video or discussion with it blinking. Also, the other blinking screen discussions usually call for a complete shutdown and/or replacing cords, which i've done a few times but still nothing.

My spin on whats happened to Halo 4 (Multiplayer)

well black screen happened to me twice, but these times were different... it kept on blinking black screen and going in and out of black screen every ten seconds... eventually kicking EVERYONE out of a middle of a game...

Black Screen after Green logo screen

You say there was an "error screen" after the first logo, does that mean there was an actual error displayed or are you just referring to the black screen as error screen?

Anyways, I had this issue too and this was caused by unstable internet for me, I don't know how you're connected or whether your network is stable or not, but that was my main issue when I had a blackscreen.

That's an odd one! Does the issue persist if you try a different HDMI cable on a different HDMI port? Additionally, do you have any other displays or TV's that you can try connecting to to see if the issue persists?

If the issue persists across multiple displays and you're unable to navigate through settings to

Factory Restore your Xbox One console, one step you can try is following our
Offline Update Troubleshooter, which includes steps on using a USB flash drive to reload an update or factory restore the console. If that
does not resolve the issue, oyour Xbox One console may need to be repaired. To begin the repair process, visit our

Usually after a cold reboot you will get the green screen and then a black screen. That is intended. Allow the Xbox One to keep booting up for a few minutes if you haven't already left it to continue loading. I suggest leaving it for 5-10 minutes when the
screen goes black to ensure it has had time to do what it is doing.

If you get the error text again, make note of it and contact Microsoft Support.

I saw an error screen with a bunch of text in other languages the first time I turned it on. I haven't seen this screen since then. Also I have a wired connection that is pretty stable.
