  1. Bitstream Out Unavailable

My new Xbox One X seems to be having issues with my soundbar, saying that it doesn't support bitstream.

My setup is X1X to a Panasonic 4KTV, which is then connected via ARC to a Panasonic SC-HTE80 (yes, it's a pretty basic model, but it's fine for my use). Previously, my Day-One edition Xbox One worked fine, but now I'm unable to select bitstream out, and
I get a message to advise that the system doesn't appear capable of supporting it.

If I go to the video settings and change the auto-detect to a manual selection of HDMI, I can go back to audio settings and successfully select bitstream out and the soundbar acknowledges the DTS or Dolby Digital signal. However, in manual video mode I
am unable to select 4K video output!! So my choice appears to be 1080p with Dolby Digital, or 4K with stereo. I know the difference between Stereo and Dolby Digital on a 2.1 setup is relatively minor, but it is supported by my current setup and is clearly
    preferable.

Side note: I've been in the preview dashboard since it started, and have already enrolled my new console into Alpha ring.

The reason I can't be certain that this is a preview issue (or even an Xbox One X issue) is that I can't be sure I didn't put my previous Xbox One in manual video output mode and, with 1080p being the highest setting available on that Xbox, was entirely
    happy with the situation.

    :)

  3. No bitstream out

I no longer seem to get any output via HDMI bitstream. I run the sound via HDMI into my LG telly and from there, via optical, into my surround receiver. Until recently I've had no trouble getting Dolby 5.1 passed through to the receiver. Now, bitstream doesn't
seem to output anything. It's not the TV, or the AV receiver.

Please fix this! As it stands I can only get uncompressed audio out of my Xbox and, therefore, only stereo through the optical cable into my receiver. I can play in stereo, but I'd rather be using the surround I've had until recently.

    Bitstream Out Unavailable

I was having the same problem. There is some kinda issue with ARC. As soon as I plugged my sound bar up to another port that wasn’t ARC it worked just fine. There’s another trick also. Try changing your video connection from “auto detect” to “HDMI” then
go back and it shouldn’t be grayed out anymore. You can even go back and reset it back to auto detect after most times. Try either or both. They should work.

    Jasmine,

Your instructions say to choose 5.1 uncompressed, bitstream out and DTS digital sound. If 5.1 or 7.1 for that matter, is selected, the box for bitstream format is greyed out. How am I supposed to choose some aspect that Xbox has made unavailable?
