    Hello,

    I upgraded my version of xbox one OS recently in order to benefit from the possibility to bitstream audio to my home cinema receiver.

    I configured the console with DTS bitstream for hdmi audio and I have a question since I don't understand the parameter " Bitstream Format". Is it to select the format used when playing games?

    When playing a bluray with a Dolby True HD track, it still displays DTS on my home cinema. Actually, it displays DTS whatever the format is used. If I play a DTS Master Audio track, still DTS only instead of DTS MasterHD. Is it a bug of display format that
    the console sends to the A/V receiver or does the console convert/downgrade the audio bitstream to the chosen "Bit stream format".

    Bitstream support ALL THE WAY or not?

    Can somebody please tell me if there ever will be a bitstream audio support for every source on Xbox One S?

    I´m in Preview Ring 4, bitstream via Bluray app works for me...but how about general audio bitstream support? Playing files with HD audio via USB (MediaPlayer, VLAN...)...

    When will the XBOX ONE bitstream DTS-HD Master Audio and Dolby TrueHD lossless formats?

    That's not right. I connect with a hdmi cable, not with an optical cable. The problem is that you do not add the Dolby true hd and dts hd master audio format to the xbox one x console bitstream part.

    Unless they implement DAMN BITSTREAM (real pass-thru) audio option in the Movies or Media Player app, there won´t be any sound when playing MKVs or .mp4s or any other files with HD audio embedded...totally inept Microsoft

    I don't agree with a few of the posts on here regarding Bitstream & PCM... PCM is two channel uncompressed audio while bitstream is the RAW signal as it's being stripped from the source material - you should pretty much ALWAYS select bitstream - as that
    will give you the native RAW data stream. Example: If you buy movies on "Xbox Video" from the Xbox Store and it's saaved on your Xbox in HD - if you're set to PCM the audio will be down-mixed to 2.0 and your decoder (Surround Receiver) with then have to sum-to-mono
    to create a center channel audio as well as fabricate surround data / however: if you set your Xbox to bitstream then your decoder (Surround Receiver) will get discrete muti-channel audio / and that is a HUGE advantage
