Bioshock problem through Game Pass

I've just started looking through the new Game Pass service - looks like excellent value btw - but when trying to download Bioshock and Bioshock 2, it doesn't give the option to 'Install' like the other games do; it just says 'get price' like normal back-compat
games, which takes you to purchase the game at the regular price, so I can't get it for free. Has anyone else had similar problems? Is there a fix?

Or am I just being stupid and doing it wrong:-D

I found a couple other issues as well. You cannot connect the xbox to the dedicated dvi ,or tv hdmi input on the Samsung smart tv as it causes some kind of communications hang up. The same issue exists with the chromecast device.

They have to be hooked to an hdmi input that is not smart.

This takes care of the majority of the problems. I still have occasions where when I turn on the system the

tv flashes for a second and then shows the xbox tiles but the tv tile is blank. This happens almost every morning

when first turning it on but not while turniing it off and on during the day.

By going into the setup menu and clicking devices and then clicking on tv and then enter without changing anything it somehow resets the handshaking between the xbox and the tv. everything works normally for awhile. This is

better than doing a factory reset but it is still a pain.

 

pass through problem

I have the same issue. I have a samsung smart tv, brighthouse cable with a scientific atlanta cable box,and a samsung sound bar.

The system worked fine for a couple days and then one morning it powered on and everything worked but the tv passthrough. I rebooted the xbox

by unplugging it and it worked for the remainder of that day. The next day it worked normal. Today it wouldn't display the tv but everything else worked.

I unplugged the video cable from the stb to the xbox and plugged the stb directly into the tv and it played normally'

I plugged the xbox into a different tv input without the stb hooked to the xbox and internet and gaming worked fine.

I did a factory reset on the xbox and went through the set up procedure again and everything worked. I then shut the xbox off and back on and it

froze and notheing works.

Its definitely a hardware or firmware issue with the xbox.

If you have the Game Pass membership, visit Games & Apps and under the Membership section you should be able to view the complete list of Game Pass titles. From there select Bioshock and it should give you the option to both "Install" or "Buy to Own". Let us
