Bioshock Infinite: should I buy the DLC before my first playthru?

Just picked this up and was gonna start playing this weekend. Didn't know if I should play through it to the end one time BEFORE purchasing any of the DLC.

Thoughts, opinions, insults? LOL

even though I hate all of you with a passion, things are on sale, and it's near xmas.

GTA V, Crysis 3, and Bioshock Infinite. Sounds like my new games for next year. (Though I should probably try playing the other two Bioshocks first).

HELP Error code 80167611

I use paypal, and I these are the latest things Ive bought over xbox live market place.

Bioshock infinite

Bioshock infinite clash in the clouds dlc

Battlefield 3 premium

As you see, all of this adds up to a way more amount of money than the peice of black ops 2. Bioshock infinite and Bioshock infinite clash in the clouds dlc were bought after failing to download black ops 2.

Thought: This game is amazing. It's over 9,000.

Opinion: I don't really think you need to buy any DLC. I heard the Burial at Seas DLC was good since you're back in Rapture.

Insult: You suck for playing it this late. Then again I just started playing it 4 days ago and already beat it.

the game itself is extremely overrated, a mediocre shooter, not as smart as it think it is, watch steins;gate instead.

As a general bit of advice regarding DLC, i personally would never buy DLC before knowing if i even liked the game its made for or not (unless its free i guess). The DLC will still be there waiting to be bought after you have finished the game if you want
it at that point. I would hate to buy something unrefundable just to find out later i didnt want it. Just my 2 cents (adjusted for inflation of course).

BioShock Infinite, is a pretty good game. I recommend you play it and if you like it enough get the dlc.

The dlc Burial at Sea continues the story and it was pretty well done, but If you never played Bioshock 1, you wont understand some of the story. Clash in the Clouds is just a survival dlc, it's like Zombies with people and you can complete challenges and
the farther you get the more points you get. You use the points to get more gear and collectibles. Clash in the Clouds is actually kind of fun. If you haven't played BioShock 1+2, you really should... the original BioShock might even be better than infinite.

Insult: You should have got it earlier! Especially because the dlc and the game were on sale. The game was like $10 on xbox on demand.

i assume you are talking about the burial at sea dlc? if so then i would, and am going to, wait for the second part of the story to come out. not 100% sure, but i don't think it has much to do with the actual plot of infinite and is it's own stand alone
story, so you can probably play it whenever you like, before after or during your infinite playthrough.

the other dlc that gives you equipment and weapons and other stuff would probably work best if downloaded before you start the game, so as to give you an initial edge...though it's not really necessary.

clash in the sky is just a horde mode add-on, if you like that sort of thing, fine, but i would never buy it on its own.

I would play the game first before buying anything additional for it. If you enjoyed it buy the dlc if you don't mind spoilers you could always look up game play on YouTube to see how it plays and whether you will enjoy it or not.
