BIO ??

Hi MajorRommel

I have looked across Xbox.com and it appears that the functionality to update your profile Bio has been remove by Microsoft, which means the only place to change this would be via a 360 console.

In the mean time someone has already raised the feedback suggestion on the new website design and what should be brought back. Have a look at the link below and add a vote to bring this back

I was wondering the same thing as I'm trying to
verify
my GT on an Xbox-themed site and need to input a code they gave me into my XBL Bio/Motto. Now I have to actually get on my
360 & use a controller. What a hassle when I wasn't planning on getting on the
360 at this time. It always annoys me whenever
Microsoft
adds something new they ending up removing something liked, just like when they added Kinect features to the
360's OS they removed Netflix's Theater mode
BIO ?? :(

Whats even more baffling/annoying is that they've added a link "Edit Gamertag" but when you click on it, you are told that
Gamertags can only be changed on the 360. O_O
Genius! <--- Sarcasm.

You CAN edit your
bio/motto on the 360 through
2
methods.

1) Dashboard

- Go to Settings, Select
Profile, Select
Edit Profile
, Select
Bio
or Motto

2) Guide Button [giant X
button top center of controller]

- Go to Settings tab/blade, Select
Profile, Select
Edit Profile, Select Bio or
Motto

You CAN also edit your bio/motto through the SmartGlass app

1) Xbox [360] SmartGlass

- Go to Social, select the
circle button with the Pencil inside of the square,
[Underneath your Avatar], add/remove/change any text in the
Name, Motto,
Location,
Bio sections simultaneously.

2 Xbox One SmartGlass App

- Currently
not available

Wow! I went to click on your very
helpful Microsoft link to the
Xbox User Voice official website again instead of typing it in and noticed that some delete-happy mod deleted it. Instead of
stating why they "thought" it was bad they replaced it with
Xbox Forum Guidelines, which actually approves of links as long as they don't violate the
Terms of Use or Guidelines of this website, which your official
Microsoft/Xbox link didn't violate.
Please do not discuss or post links to any topic that could violate the Terms Of Use. Including any threads or posts regarding modifying the way your Xbox operates such 'modding' and/or 'chipping' your Xbox or otherwise
altering the way it is intended to operate. This includes ANY discussion of self-repair. Please only suggest official support procedures as noted on official support pages on Xbox.com.

You may not post links or link to any site that does not fall in line with the rules of this site or breaks the Terms of Use or Guidelines. Including but not limited to adult related material, Non Xbox related material,
illegal or offensive content etc.
Furthermore I noticed that Forum Guidelines state that if a user disagrees with a moderator's actions they are to private message that moderator ...but how does one privately message a moderator that chooses to remain
anonymous without an actual name/gamertag to contact?
...If you have a question or concern about a forum moderation decision, please private message the applicable moderator.
Times like this I wish people with power were required to have a
higher level of education on how to properly use that
power. Where's Uncle Ben when you need him?

@BiZZar0 J0E - I think this was more in reference to
◾Discussions regarding ways to improve your Xbox experience are welcome, and we encourage you to post your ideas on the new Xbox Feedback site. However, please do not use the forums to solicit votes on your Xbox Feedback ideas. If you would like to share
your activity on Xbox Feedback, you are welcome to include a link to your Xbox Feedback profile in your signature.
@ The Forum Mods - If this is the particular guideline you were referring to, I believe I was still within the guidelines as this states don't solicit on your own Xbox Feedback ideas. The original link I posted was something another user has posted on the
Feedback site and not my own; I came across will searching about editing the Xbox Live Profiles, which in guidelines to the feedback site is not duplicating the request feature.

Anyway back on topic, Nice one Bowski477. Microsoft actually need to have this linked to the profile page
account.xbox.com/.../Profile rather than having no referenced link.

I can't make a Bio or name anymore

Did you try to go into your bio on xbox.com and delete the bio.

Then go back to your Xbox and try to add a new bio.
13. Dirty Loco Win User

Code of UnderAGE Conduct - banned again

That's you bio now, but what was it 6 months ago? An offending bio, even one you've already changed is still an offending bio.

You can't not follow the rules just because you have a problem with people reading your bio.
14. Tezzerrific Win User

BSOD like 3 times or more a day

have you set docp in the bios to enable you rams full speed, if not do this, if you have then disable this to see if that make a difference, you could also try a bios update (warning, if the bios update fails then it can render the board useless unless it has bios flashback) the latest bios image for your board is Version 4403.
