Hey notyou, was the console purchased used? If you've tried three different cables and you're sure the port you're connecting to on your router/modem isn't faulty, it sounds like the ethernet port on your console may need to be repaired. If you bought the
console new, I highly recommend taking it back to the vendor for an exchange.

- Xbox not seeing wireless network -

If the Xbox is not seeing the network, power cycle the Xbox by unplugging the Xbox from the wall outlet and let it sit for about 5 minutes.

Power cycle your network by unplugging the power to the modem & router for about 60 seconds.

Plug the Xbox back into a wall outlet and not a power strip.

Turn the Xbox on and see if you're able to see your network.

- Xbox Not connecting to your network or taking your network password -

Hard reset the Xbox by holding down the power button on the front of the Xbox for 15 seconds. After the 15 seconds let go of the power button then restart the Xbox.

Power cycle your network by unplugging the power to the modem & router for about 60 seconds.

- If that fails then, go to Settings > Network > Network Settings > Forget Wireless Network

- Go to Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate MAC Address > Clear > let the Xbox Restart

- Try and reconnect to your wireless network again

- Game Server Connection issues -

Go to Advanced settings > DNS Settings > Manual - Set the Primary DNS as 8.8.8.8 and the Secondary as 8.8.4.4

Go to Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate MAC Address > Clear > let the Xbox Restart

- NAT Type Unavailable -

This means that the router is not allowing the Xbox to communicate out on any of the ports that it needs.

Power cycle the router and clear the Alt MAC on the Xbox

- If that fails then go through the forget wireless network steps posted above

Who is your ISP(Internet Service Provider)?

After you run "Test Xbox LIVE connection" press “Y” for "More Info”. In the pop-up that appears, what are the following values, if shown? (If a value below does not appear for you, just leave it blank.)
