Bing Rewards for Xbox auto linking to a dead account on xbox

I have a old account that has not been active since 2008... it is now 2018... TEN years later and my email that I use for Bing Rewards is linked to that old account. I have talked to Customer Service at Bing and they were just as surprised as I was that
Xbox no longer gave you a code for their currency. Which in our house makes things hard. I would give the codes for Currency to my 2 sons or my husband or even treat myself. We have 4 Xboxes in our house and yet Xbox now makes it digital download ONLY TO
THE ACCOUNT LINKED WITH THE EMAIL USED FOR BING REWARDS. How is this a good idea when we have 4 different gamertags? You are not allowed to send currency to another account so I can't even let it go to the 2008 account and move it to other people. I can't
change it because it's going by email and obviously we all have different emails. Heck myself alone I have 4 different email accounts. (The email linked to my husband's account got closed a long time ago so he can't even get into that one but we can't change
it either)

Basically I just want Xbox to know I think that they should go back to giving a code to put in yourself. Even just give the option of digital download or a code. Really would make life so much easier.

FYI Bing tech gave me
http://xbox.uservoice.com to give an opinion but I can't find anywhere to post just able to vote on there people's ideas.

what will happen to my xbox rewards points upon conversion to bing rewards if my bing rewards account was banned a few years ago?

why are you linking your referral number if you have never tried that site?

xbox rewards and bing are the only genuine sites that give free points.

When using the uservoice website, if you scroll down to the bottom, you should see the option there to submit a new idea.

One thing I could suggest at this point however is now we have the option to gift within the stores, are you able to gift the games to them instead?

Otherwise I'm not entirely sure what the best thing to suggest would be.

Here are the instructions for how to cancel.

However, from your description, it's not that you don't know how to operate, but you can't find the "manage" option?

The Response community is not part of the Bing Rewards support team, and we are sorry that we do not have the authority to directly interfere with your account, such as turning off auto-redemption for you.

However, we can guide you on how to bring your problems back to the Bing Rewards support team to try and get help. Open the following link in your browser, fill in the appropriate content as prompted, and click Submit:

Be sure to clear the problem description as much as possible, and the Bing Rewards support team will theoretically get back to you within 24 hours.

That would be great. The Xbox Live Rewards forum is blowing up with people wondering why their point aren't showing up for basic purchases, but for promotions such as the Binge Watch and Play and Grand Theft Auto shark card promotion.

The free gamertag change is available to a new account in which the gamertag was auto-generated by the system.

If you can't afford to change your tag, you can always sign up for Xbox Live Rewards or Bing Rewards to earn points towards a name change.

You should all sign up for Bing rewards and Xbox live rewards. I've gotten thousands of points from them, a little at a time. They really do add up and you can have multiple accounts in your household on Bing.
