  1. Bing Rewards Credit Expiring

    Here is the customer experience:

I purchase $30 of Xbox store credit and add it to my account

I go to account to verify it's been added and notice $13 of Bing rewards credit that is going to expire

I search the site for something to buy to use up my nearly 1 year old Bing Rewards credit after receiving a warning that it will expire if not used

I purchase Rocket League (even though I'm on the fence) whatever it was reward credit for $13

I get an alert that my credit will exprire

I am confused...I just used it to buy Rocket League

I begin to realize Xbox Credit uses real money first...I have $47 of credit, that means I need to spend $33 of my own money before it begins to use the credit I worked so hard to receive? No...that can't be true.

I contact Xbox support - I expend a tremendous amount ( I mean hours of effort on chat and email) of customer effort trying to get my $13 credit to apply. I am told only Bing rewards can handle this.

I am transferred to Bing Rewards team. I contact Bing rewards via email and am immediately told this is an Xbox support issue. I spend more effort emailing back to explain Xbox Support says it's a Bing Rewards issue. I proceed to go through
3 different Bing rewards team members...repeating myself every-single-time

I go back to Xbox support I spend 20+ minutes waiting on hold. I immediately explain I had done this dance, I need an escalation. I spend 40 MINUTES BEING GRACIOUS AND UNDERSTANDING - (check the chat logs)

I am told I'll need to post here So, you've nearly won...you've nearly broken me. Keep the $13 'cause god knows it isn't worth the 4+ hours of my life I have already spent on this - but somehow I feel like you could handle this better...

I work in the customer support industry. There is a book called "The Effortless Experience". I suggest you read it. My experience is the polar opposite. You win. This is shameful for an organization of Microsoft's scale and reputation. I'm all right with
a no, just have the courage to say it (hint: use positive positioning), don't bounce me around with transfers because it's too difficult.

    :)

  2. Did you all know this about Bing Rewards and Xbox Live?

I used the Bing search app on my phone. When I go into the Bing Rewards app it always says zero for Mobile. It is not a big deal though.

    What's a better deal?

I use Bing Rewards, and I feel pretty stupid... but what would be a better deal?

100 Microsoft Points for 120 Bing Reward credits?

    or:

400 Microsoft Points for 475 Bing Reward Credits?

  4. Bing Rewards Credit Expiring

Does anyone even look here? I get the impression after being shoveled from one support stream to another, from phone to email, from email to phone, from Xbox to Bing, from Bing to Xbox...to Forums? This is where my solution will happen?

I explicitly asked for an escalation.

Official support hours are Monday-Friday 9am-5pm PST. They can see if there is anything they can do, but really only phone/chat support handles billing issues. Since you already redeemed the code you received from Rewards, it would no longer be there issue.
