Bing hijacking Dashboard

Whenever I boot up my console (Slim 250Gb), end a game, or simply tap guide button and Y, the Bing page shows up instead of my Dashboard. My LB works fine and the hijacking is annoying.

I've tried: 1. delete and re-download my profile; 2. clear cache; 3. update rollback; 4. install offline update.

As long as I sign in Xbox Live, Bing hijacks my Dashboard. If I skip sign-in or sign in with no internet, no Bing, no pain.

Anyone knows how to fix this? I've wasted way more time than expected. Chat with xbox support did provide some plans like rollback and offline update, but didn't work.

If you join Bing Rewards (I'm not some Microsoft employee, by the way) and search with Bing, you can earn points and redeem them for free Xbox Live service. I use mine on Redbox. Currently I can rent 24 Redbox movies for free for just using Bing instead
of Goodle (I like Bing more anyways).

And also when signed-in, in the Settings page, where the down-left tile should be "Account", it's "Kinect". There're 2 "Kinect" on the same page. Sign-out XLive and "Account" appears again.

 

I'm also getting this too.

I also have the same issue. "Home" should be Home, not Bing.

This is also happening to me. I am also in Australia. Have also noticed that very few of my game covers are showing in the "My Games" section. They just aren't loading and just have the grey placeholder. Another thing I've noticed is the game image for whatever
disc you have in your console is only showing the little square icon like when your console is offline.

 

I'm done with this nonsense. The whole Xbox support sucks. I'll just play old games offline. New games? Well, I have a PS4. I should have been playing The Last of Us Remastered instead of fixing this pile. Xbone? Not interested. Maybe PS isn't better either,
but maybe I just got lucky with my PS4. Haven't faced any tech issue yet. I'll just keep it that way.

@XboxSupport2 not an available option now. It happens on others' consoles and frankly I don't think it's a profile problem, might be XLive

Definitely understand your frustration, but sometimes even the simplest of checks can help elaborate on the full scope of the problem. Checking a secondary console when available isn't something out of the ordinary so you can find out whether it's something
related to the profile(s) or the console. It eliminates a big scope of troubleshooting with some of these extra checks.

Unfortunately, I don't have an answer myself for you at the moment but am continuing to research to try and find you something. There is a similar problem for the Xbox One but the solution is different than what is available for the Xbox 360. Do you have
a Kinect? If so, have you tried using any voice commands to try and get around the issue? Like "Xbox, Kinect", "Xbox go Home", or "Xbox Settings"? Just curious to see if the voice commands give a different result than controller input.

Thanks for you help. However, it's not just about "Go Home". How comes that there're 2 "Kinect" tiles in my settings page when connected to XLive? Where does my "Account" tile go?

And also, the voice control doesn't solve the boot-up and end-game problem. It still needs extra input to navigate to dashboard.

Apparently this problem exists for a while. People didn't say it loud because an extra RB tap is not a big deal. I'm sorry that I'm stubborn and I can't stand bugs. But I'm not Erin Brockovich. I'm not willing to fix a gaming console at all cost. I don't
gain anything out of this. Fixed or not, this is a bad experience to me.

 

I have this problem too, for a few days now but only really dawned on me tonight... start up my 360 - straight to bing, exit a game straight to bing. Once you notice it - it becomes vexing fast.

I never use bing (or need it), I want my default page to be 'home' & I do not think that an unreasonable request to make. I hope this is rectified ASAP by the good people at Xbl.

this is indeed a strange issue, I'll try to escalate the issue.

 

While I'll try to get this issue looked into.

Can you guys in the mean time, give some additional information.

Like:

- Country region for physical location

- Country connected to your account

- Console type (Xbox 360 Arcade, Pro, Elite, Slim, E etc)

- Are you participating in de Xbox 360 Preview or not

- Dashboard version (Should be located at Settings - System - Console Info)

- Any other information you guys think could be important.

This is a joke?!? How is Home not the Home Screen? Also having the problem when signing to my Australian Xbox 360 Slim with an Australian Account.

 

Update:

Just found out it was fixed. Or at least it's on my console. 'Home' goes to Dashboard. I hope it won't come back.

It would be better if some dev releases the patch document.
