So XBOX took $9.99 from my account for a GAME PASS that I didn't want. Little did I know, that XBOX automatically makes people auto renew their memberships as a default, which nobody told me that they did. But then of course Microsoft isn't going to tell
you, because they want to try to find any way to take your money without you knowing and just assume that you'd be OK with that. Well I wasn't OK with any of that crap. They took my money on June 2nd. That very same day I cancelled that subscription that
I never wanted and immediately called and spoke to some Indian guy telling them that they need to give me that money back.

I was told that the refund was processed and I should see it back in my account by next week. Well a week came and went and no money. I called back and found that the refund was never processed correctly and it has just been sitting there being ignored
from 5/2 - 5/15. WTF Microsoft? Come to find out that they wanted proof that they took my money. THE ****'n proof is right there in my account!! you stupid morons! But instead of being an intelligent company, they wanted a copy of my personal bank information
to show that the money was taken out of my account.....REALLY?? So it's obvious that qualifications for working for Microsoft is breathing, the same qualifications for working at Wal-Mart. It is now 5/31 and still no refund. I have since reported them
to the BBB and filed an official complaint. Their bogus response to that was "we're working on your refund". Don't know about Microsoft but about 100% of all of the other online companies that I have made purchases from process and provide refunds within
5 business days or less. Microsoft has had my issue for an entire month and still no refund. WTF Microsoft.....you guys are a multi-billion dollar company and you bastards are so greedy that you won't even provide a $9.99 refund for a canceled GAME PASS
membership that was never used? F You Microsoft!

If anyone can provide any information as to what can be done to get my money back, please share. If anyone has experienced this same issue, please share as well. If we can get enough people who are experiencing money being taken
out of their account without permission, then we are looking at a Class Action Lawsuit fellas.

xbox online support SUCKS

Yes, the auto renewal can be an issue. If you signed up for a 12 month Gold Membership, the auto renewal was most likely automatically on. If you did have an unwanted renewal, contact 1 800 4 MY XBOX. Auto renewal can be turned off in the billing options
at Xbox.com or through the phone.

Auto Renewal Off

You sometimes are forced to call xbox billing support to turn of auto renewal (especially if the card associated to the renewal had expired). You can contact 1-800-4-MY-XBOX and ask for billing.

When you sign up for any sort of subscription from Xbox there is a notice that it will turn on auto-renewal and it is up to you to turn it off before you confirm the purchase. So by confirming the purchase you agree to those terms.

Contacting support and speaking to billing is the only way to get a refund.

You will want to check your account at commerce.microsoft.com and it should show you any purchase history on your account if it is showing as refunded there then it would be out of microsofts hands at that point and would be up to your bank to put the money
back.

To cancel auto-renewal you need to go too the xbox website then go too payment and billing find Xbox game pass then turn off auto renewal on the game pass

then it should cancel your auto renewal.

did she cancel Ultimate Game Pass or did she turn off recurring billing/auto renew?

if she only turned off recurring billing then the subscription will continue up to the renewal date

Auto-renewal of Xbox Game Pass works as follows:

1. Upon subscribing to Xbox Game Pass, you'll be charged the monthly fee automatically each billing cycle.

2. If you have enough funds in your Microsoft account, the subscription fee will be automatically deducted each month. If there are not enough funds in your account, the auto-renewal will fail, and your subscription will be cancelled.

In summary, when you sign up for Xbox Game Pass, the auto-renewal feature is automatically enabled, and your subscription fee will be charged each billing cycle, as long as there are sufficient funds in your account. There is no specific waiting period for auto-renewal to take effect.
