Billing and Card Details on Xbox 360

Hi Guys.

I might be coming to this a bit late but when did MS force you to enter card details for free games? I have been tried to download a 360 game from GWG and its asking for card details. I dont own a credit, dont plan on getting a credit, I get my credit and
xbox live subscription with pre paid cards. I shouldnt need to put card details in for a free item anyway it is a joke. Is there anyway around this idiotic hurdle MS have put in place?

Changing regions problem

I have just change my region from united states to australia on xbox.com and made sure my billing address was my australian address and cards were my australian cards but when i turn on my xbox 360 it still think my account is american and not australian
and my billing info is my american details and not australian and i cannot add my australian cards. Do i have to wait a certain amount of time before it changes because it change instantly when i first had to switch from australian to united states.

If you're making the purchase from a 360 console it won't require a credit card. If you're trying to make the purchase via the One or website, you do need a payment method on file. The 360 store is set up differently than the store on the One/website. The
One/website does not recognize your Microsoft account balance as a valid payment option for 360 content.

It's not possible to migrate an account to the UK. You would have to create a new account with the correct information.

Xbox Gift Cards add currency to your Microsoft account, and can be used for any digital content on Xbox 360 or Xbox One.

Is there any other way by removing all billing info and payment details will the error go or else this is because i have entered my debit card details and not the credit card once
