    Billed for item I did not purchase and did not receive


    My PayPal account shows a bill from Microsoft but my subscription history in Microsoft does no show the item. PayPal have done a check and advise the purchase is correct. I only have one account with Microsoft but am suspicious that the item was purchased in a Microsoft Xbox account.

    I have never purchased any items from Microsoft. All online help goes around in circles.

    Any help would be appreciated

    I have checked purchase history with no item showing.

    The item was billed on the 9th November and PayPal is saying it is a genuine purchase.

    Update,

    On the third day of trying to contact Microsoft Xbox I was successfully, in fact the links worked perfectly, and I was able to speak to someone on the phone. Anyway, they basically said it was a PayPal issue and I had made the purchase of “Ultimate 3 Months”.

    I then contacted PayPal on the phone and the person was very understanding of my issue. Over the next few weeks PayPal sent update emails and two days ago they said the money will be refunded case closed.

    I must congratulate PayPal on their efficient operation.

    It could be a genuine purchase made from another account. You can only claim a refund for a purchase through your account if you have access to the account that made the purchase. If after 24 hours nothing appears in your purchase history you will need to ask PayPal or your credit card to cancel the charge.

    I do believe it is a genuine purchase through another account but some how this account had access to my PayPal account. I have only ever had the one account with Microsoft and as such I cannot access this other account, I am not sure which way to turn. I have cancelled Microsoft access to my PayPal but still have a bill which I do not own.

    Its impossible to talk to someone at Microsoft Xbox to try and solve this issue and even if I could access someone I have no way of producing an email address and password to the account where the purchase was made.

    I don't believe I have been hacked as the purchase was not big (Ultimate 3 Months) and no other purchases have been made.

    I receive a purchase notification from PayPal but did not receive a notification from Microsoft.

    It can take up to 24 hours for a transaction to appear in your purchase history.

    You can check your purchase history through this link.

    https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders

    If after 24 hours you cannot find the charge on your account, you will need to contact PayPal to cancel the transaction.
