Biggest disappointment in 30 years of gaming

Well the people have spoken.

 

Yep. The people have spoken with their wallets, and they love Halo 5.

 

Completely have to disagree... Love all parts of the game. The multiplayer weapon balance, the team aspect, story mode, etc. It all feels like a new beginning Halo experience with the team aspect and everything. I like this game better than Reach, which
I felt like was a previous high point for the series.

 

I miss the lack of split screen too, but they have been talking about that for about 6+ months now. My brother will probably miss it more since he has to actually get his own xbox now instead of "housing" mine all the time. But this should have been knowledge
to everyone... Especially if you are getting the game on day or week 1.

 

This game feels sluggish. It feels like the player, controller, and game physics are out of sync. I don't think its just me either.

If you are not in a Fireteam you are placed on a team comprised of only single players. The opposing team seems to always be Fireteam only. Very lopsided matchmaking.

Highly disappointing.

 

I love Halo, I love everything about it, the game mechanism, the lore, the characters.

It has always been my favourite game series since its first release on Xbox.

Halo 5 has been a pleasant surprise and a disappointment at the same time. I have this mixed feeling for different reasons.

I think the HuntTheTruth campaing was misleading. At some point I was hoping to see a real battle between Team Osiris and the Blue Team, I hoped Chief would have committed some really questionable action that would have led us to "choose a side". Chief,
since the very first announcement at E3, has been described as a possible traitor, whereas we all know what he did.

Said that, I liked how the story progressed. There were no halos, perhaps too many "indoor levels" (just a personal preferences, I've always been a fan of the open landscapes), but the story was solid, and fit for sequels. In the end the real traitor wasn't
Chief, therefore we have something to fight, something to protect, and the Legendary ending seemed to be extremely promising (hoping it's not another false advertisement).

The multiplayer is fantastic, I find the Warzone to be extremely fun despite all the negative reviews it had. My only concern is that it seems that 343i spent too much time optimising the multiplayer instead of dedicating a bit more time on the campaign.
Multplayer in Halo 5 is not 50% of the game..I'd say about 80%.

Said that, 343i did an amazing job with Halo 5 in terms of engine, graphics and mechanism. All the great things of this game definitely surpassed the inital disappointment I had.

 

split screen is what i was mostly disappointed in.. it was to show my buddies xbox one to help them to get it also.. means more money for xbox.. how can i show it off if they cant play with me.. for them ill say ps4.. but not complaining to much.. i do enjoy
multiplayer online like i always have and single player is fun.. story is iffy but fun though. split screen oh yeah disappointed big time

 

Maybe it's time to go to the media and expose this shambolic piece of crap game.

 

Brought a brand new console and brand new halo 5, nothing work, stops at 82% when loading the game onto the console and updating runs for ages then crashes then the console turns itself off and I have to start all over again. , what a bad buy. Have owned
every console Xbox have ever put out and a multitude of games, so disappointed, please give me a refund so i can buy a PS4.

Unfortunately, I'm inclined to agree.

Halo: Reach was wonderful. The culmination of Bungie's work. Halo: 4 and Halo: Guardians, bitterly disappointing.

The campaign is terribly boring (I'm forcing myself to play through Halo: Guardians campaign) and in the latter's case its all to set things up for a sequel. The ending was terribly anticlimactic.

The AI is absolutely rubbish in campaign and the commands utterly basic.

I don't like the layout of any of the control options, the enemies are very weak even on heroic and above.

To put simply: as being the creme de la creme and pierce de resistance for the Xbox 1, apart from graphics, Halo: Guardians falls flat on its face.

I don't like what they've done with multiplayer nor the way you get medals for absolutely everything all the time.

I liked the simplicity of Halo: Reach, the funny WTF moments and where you had to rely on skill to a certain extent.

I was hoping Halo: Guardians would be a good multiplayer shooter for the Xbox 1. It looks doubtful and more likely that I hang onto my 360 just to play Halo: Reach.

I'm sad that Halo is no longer at the top of my list of games to play but ce la vie.

 

I have no issues this halo is way better then halo 4, only wish it had skirmishes in it

 

This game is amazing. Gorgeous graphics, Awesome campaign levels and the gameplay is incredible. Best halo since halo 2

 

I didn't have any problems with the game. Really enjoyed playing the campaign.
