Biggest disappointment in 30 years of gaming

Im also a dad. My son and I have been playing Halo for the past 6 years split screen. He bought me the game for my birthday and we were both super excited to only find out the game is no longer split screen. we was really upset and disappointed. no way to
return the game now..how were we supposed to know? any thoughts? Sure we wouldn't expect a new game to be slitscreen in next gen, however, the tradition of Halo is splitscreen so it is misleading to assume we would know it was going to be changed. Now I have
no way to return it...guess ill have to enjoy it!

GTA V

GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas were all fantastic games. GTA4 was the biggest disappointment in gaming ever, imo. I want GTA5 to be brilliant.

 

DA 2 Legacy DLC coming on July 26

I think the only way DLC could help DA2 would be if it gave us a completely new game. DAO was a masterpiece. DA2 was one of my biggest disappointments in a sequel ever. I thought the biggest trend in gaming was motion control... I was wrong. It's the dumbing
down of games.

 

This actually speaks for supporting your local retailer (which I still try to do) rather than ordering it online – as far as I’m concerned, I at least knew what I was getting when I picked up the game: It does indeed state on the packaging that co-op is
reserved for the online modes. Not that it didn’t disappoint me nonetheless…

But why the sentiment that next-gen speaks against split-screen rather than for it? Aside from the fact that by now, more people have large format TV’s than at the time of the 360’s launch (at least in Germany that is): Wasn’t the whole idea of the ill-fated
(and ill-conceived) Kinect to bring people together in one room? Haven’t games like SingStar or MarioParty in particular shown that people like to share their gaming experience in person?

Oh, and one more thing @SpitMoney: I certainly hope my son will be considerate enough to think of an FPS as a fitting gift for his dad when he gets old enough to actually purchase one

The Multiplayer is a huge upgrade. I'd be happy just playing warzone. And you know just like every other halo they are only going to add more multiplayer modes. Plus the weapon arsenal is great. Havent touched the campaign yet but i hear it is geared towards
co-op which is what you'd expect from a halo game, also the story is not that great, from what i hear, another thing you'd expect from a halo game. (In my opinion the story hasn't been anything spectacular since combat evolved...reach was the next best one
but that wasn't a chief game). I have not had any issues with the game thus far which is great seein as what happened with MCC. Multiplayer runs so smooth even in a cluster of fighting and vehichles...so i dont know what you expected but sucks for you that
you cant enjoy a funn game

Campaign is pretty good actually. No better or worse than previous Halos.

And yes it is geared for co-op but if you play solo the other 3 Spartans are controlled by AI and it's pretty good AI too. Only actually died once because the AI is pretty good at reviving me when i'm knocked down.

 

Went to play with my Sons and friends, complete disappointment we can't play together. I want to return it.

Waste of money.

 

I can’t say I’m disappointed but if I ranked the Halo releases this one wouldn’t be in the top 1/2. Having gotten thru 5 missions I think I hate Locke.

 

I agree My 11yr old son and I waited and waited to get Halo 5, and even after we got it we couldn't play it for 3 more days cause there wasn't a time that we could be together to play it finally this afternoon we could....NOPE!!!!!! no two player except
co-op what a disappointment . I didn't even check the box when we bought it because we have been playing halo together for years. I can't even comment on the greed involved with the decision to ruin a game and make it so everyone sits in front of their screens
cheering no one but themselves on. needless to say we tossed it and are looking for a different format in which to play r games on from here on.

 

Solution to split screen problem. Buy more Xbox, possibly more tv...at least that's what they want you to do. And, most gamers have more than one screen now a days days anyways, but, even then probably not worth 1-2 extra consoles (though I guess it would
be the same as having a computer in everyroom). Anyhow, split screening is so out-of-date. Heck I haven't played split screen in ages.

 

Halo 5 the graphics are ok not too detailed as I expected for example there is one mission that you get under a cascade a d you dont see like the drops of the water some part of the terrain i see it glitching from far and when i get closer it fixes the cinematic
were ok i compare it with the ones that 343 did in halo 2 anniversary does were amazing and in the campaign and history im disappointed because it was more lock than master chief i was expecting like many players more history and more action play role of master
chief many people were waiting for this game only for the history and they *** either way the campain the way they did it still super fun and with the multiplayer it just perfect i hope they do

I understand your frustration about the "Halo 5" But keep in mind that it's just a new release, and there the expectations are lot of game bugs, That's why we need to be connected always in Xbox live to have an updates on the game itself for bug fixes and
stuff. "There is no New thing that doesn't have any bugs/mistakes, even scientist does make a lot of mistakes before perfecting the product" It's just, People need to think about all things coming that there will be a bugs on it. That is why they invented
BETA, however not all the bugs can be seen on the BETA, There will be infinite upgrade's and fix's that needs to be done in anything.

 

And Before Trying the game you can read forums, Watch YouTube for those people who tried it already before purchasing or downloading the game. "it's much better to learn in other people mistakes by observing them than too exited to try something new and
in return getting frustrated by the means of your excitement getting the game as soon as possible" I think developers are thankful because there are people like this (reporting bugs and stuff). Think outside if the box. You are a part of experiment to see
if there is a bug on the game itself. however developer listen only when the said bugs/issue is trending. Well, Life is life.
