well, with that being said, I should be able to get the xbox one, 32TBs, and have every single game owned digitally. I respect the people who stay with the discs, and I understand why the disc is a little better in a way, but with the games being digital,
it takes up the same amount of space, and I will never sell another game, and I don't let people borrow my stuff anymore, so im going fully downloadable. and having 32TB on my One (when I get it) will be perfect for years and years.

I have :

-

Peggle, Max, Halo Spartan, Tomb Raider, Watch Dogs, Forza 5, Plants vs Zombies, Child of Light, Power Star Golf, Ghosts all installed on my HD, still shows 44% available.. Not many app's though, just Netflix, Youtube, Skype. Not sure if memory will ever
be an issue for me?

@kingvas, its a good thing they added more memory for the console, because I know your ok with the games you have on your console, but what about if you get more games? 500GB is good, but the games are just to big, 32TB on the One would be like having 250GB
on the 360.

I have tons of games fully downloaded and demos on my 360, including gta5, defiance, and halo reach. so I could only agree that adding more memory to xbox one for a gamer would be the best thing to do, unless your not a gamer of course, then 500GB would
already be more than enough.

this whole how large is the storage debate is useless. No one will.. and I will say this again. NO ONE will have a full external HDD, filled with all games and at the same time be playing ALL of those games on a consistent basis to warrant a discussion.
Games get finished and completed, games get boring etc etc. And even still, you can always just delete a game if you need to and of for some reason you feel like playing it again, just re-install it.

I have a feeling the OP and others are looking towards having huge storage abilities for other media (not just games) like .mkv, .jpeg, mp3, etc. I just wonder if and when MS will allow all these formats to run from the box itself....
allowing the system to hold more memory
Memory is fixed at 8GB. There's no way for the console to "hold" more.
There's 8GB of DDR3 soldered to the motherboard.

You're misusing the term "memory". Memory does not refer to storage, which is what the internal 500GB HDD is.

With respect to storage, Microsoft has stated that with the recent update that enabled USB-attached storage, up to 16TB can be added per USB device and up to two USB devices can be attached at a time.

There aren't any single-disc 16TB drives available at this time. It is unlikely you'd need 16TB over the life of the console, let alone 32TB.
Games, yes.

Music and movies, no.
No, you cannot rip movies from a Blu-ray disc to any storage attached to the console.
Unlikely to ever happen unless they find a way to do it inexpensively and without artificially shortening the optical drive's
lifespan.

I want to be able to store tons of movies on my xbox one, and music also, I also do NOT want to delete anything, I want everything to be right there when I want to use it. I want to be able to buy any game and however many games I want without even thinking
about the memory. this is not even a debate, it was just a few questions that I and I am sure other people have for the console. the only reason that I have not rushed out there to buy the One is because its not backwards compatible, so theres no need to get
rid of my 360 right now, its running perfectly fine. but I do have another question though, instead of plugging a cable box into the xbox one, is it possible to plug the xbox 360 into the xbox one?
I want to be able to store tons of movies on my xbox one, and music also
At this time, that isn't possible. Not only don't the Xbox Video and Xbox Music apps support download, there's no support for playing video or audio files
from a USB-attached device. The console does support Play To from a DLNA server, but that requires use of a separate app to "push" the content to the console.
As the 8GB of RAM the console is fitted with is not user-serviceable, there is no reason to think about it.
Yes, though
there is a bit of latency added such that playing fighting games wouldn't work so well. Games that are less twitchy should be fine, as should other console operations.

Well, they already take up about 30-40GB on average, so it wouldn't surprise me as games get bigger and better.

Well, I have approximately 15 games on my internal HDD already with about 40% of my space still left. Imagine how many games you can have with 64x that much!
