Big XBOX One Questions

I am leaning more and more toward getting the
XBOX One after I found out about a new update that happened, allowing the system to hold more memory, but here is
what I want to know.

What is the maximum amount of memory the XBOX One can hold?

Can I store games, music, and movies on an
external hard drive?

Since the XBOX One can now play blu rays, can I get blu ray movies to
play on the XBOX One digitally from the hard drive?

And my biggest question of all....

When is the XBOX One going to be
backward compatible?

Is there any way I can transfer the music I have on my XBox 360 onto my XBox One?!

I think you can get as big a hard drive as you want as long as it's compatible. The internal memory is 500GB.

Yes you can store those items on an external hard drive.

I doubt it will ever be backwards compatible.

 

The hard drive in the system is 500 gb. It can support a minimum 250 gb external hard drive. As far as I know you can store games that are compatible with Xbox One on an external hard drive but not music or movies. No one knows when the system will be
backwards compatible or if it will be at all. You can play blu rays but not digital copies of movies unless you go through a service like Netflix, Red Box etc that Xbox One supports.

 

I thought you could store anything on the hard drive?

 

I know that the XBOX One can hold terabytes now, I also know that minimum for an external hardrive is 256GB, I also know that you can only use 3.0 speed hard drives and you can only use 2 of them. you can have 4 terabytes if you wanted to. but what I do
not know is the maximum amount you can hold. say 2 10 terabyte external hard drives, can the One handle 20TBs on it plus the 500GB it already has?

 

Now that the Xbox One can play Blu-Ray? The Xbox One has ALWAYS been able to play Blu-Ray...

 

Z4, I was told the maximum was 2 16TB External USB 3.0 HDDs. Unfortunately, I have no actual confirmation of this, so take it with a grain of salt. Still, if true, that's 32TB, which is 64x what you already have with the internal HDD (and doesn't even include
it)! *mind blown*

 

i've also heard the 32TB thing .. i'll fish around for a confirmation.

 

32TB? man that is so much memory, are yall sure? I was thinking maybe 5 or 10TB tops, but heck, if 32 is the max, then that's what im getting, that's super perfect. way beyond my standard and expectations

 

Well, I have approximately 15 games on my internal HDD already with about 40% of my space still left. Imagine how many games you can have with 64x that much!

 

for sure I will be getting 32TB, but would games on the xbox one ever take up like 65GB?

 

well i know i already have a 1TB on mine .. so there's at least that

 

Well, they already take up about 30-40GB on average, so it wouldn't surprise me as games get bigger and better.
