Big Letdown on Power Supply

We moved to Europe with the military in September and finally received out household goods. Kids were really looking forward to seeing their Xbox One. We were astounded to discover that Microsoft had cut corners and sold expensive game consoles with 110V
power supply only. Laptops, cell phones, alarm clocks, TVs and our kindles are dual voltage - didnt occur to us to check the Xbox. Now we are on the market for a dual or European power supply and discover that Microsoft dont make them any more. Not only that
but Admin are suggesting we buy alternative brands on Amazon - if I am going to put a knock off Xbox power supply brick in my kids’ room, can someone at Microsoft confirm that our warranty will not be invalidated by its use as is stated on their website just
now? Moving overseas has been expensive enough without having to look at buying a new gaming system because of this issue.

Its an Xbox one. Some Re rated dual voltage, unfortunately our power supply block is 110v so if we just use an adaptor, it will fry it. We could try a transformer but I know that some electronics don’t do great with them over the long term. Has anyone
tried it?

Thanks for coming to the forums. We recommend first before Amazon, check local gaming stores they may have one or know where to get. Also, Microsoft has there terms and no one but them would be able to give a guarantee. Unfortunately, they don't watch the
forums. This is common when moving to different countries, there power supply is different than what USA uses. If the console is over a year old, then the console is out of warranty unless you got Microsoft complete. You can check for warranty on

Hey there! Which Xbox are you referring to? I moved from Canada (also 110v) to the UK (240v) and have had zero problems just using a UK figure 8 plug with my Xbox One X.

Thanks, checked Gamestop.de and they don’t have them. Their Best Buy equivalents don’t stock them either, only other brands. The most popular one on Amazon.de has everyone complaining about Fan noise. I’m familiar with the voltage issues, this isn’t my
first rodeo 😁, but for an electronic device that costs this much, I am very surprised that they are not dual voltage. I am not keen to go shop around trying different ones trying to find one thats safe, doesn’t overheat or sound like an airplane! I find it
a bit appalling that we bought something brand new three years ago and already they are discontinuing essential replacement parts. It doesnt encourage me to go out and buy the most recent model, instead I’d be more inclined to switch brands. Anyhow, thank
you for taking the time to respond and bringing the warranty info to my attention. It had provided enough info for me to make a decision on what to do next. Will check ebay for a second hand one first.
