Big issue with how xbox one is going.

I have an issue with the way everything is with the sharing, following, liking part of Xbox One social side. Before anyone goes of at me, I once created videos and got a little known from it but have recently quit doing so, but i quit because of many reasons.

People are creating videos and sharing them and getting followers and becoming ''known''. They beg for you to add them and they don't add you back.. Because they would like to look like there famous and people follow them because they are fans.

People spam all the time ''MTARP''(Message to all recent players) PLEASE FOLLOW ME, I CREATE VIDEOS BLAH BLAH BLAH) And it's even to the point if you do like someones video, someone will find you from that and message you to follow them and like there videos!

It's turning into ''How many followers you have is how cool you are ''instead of enjoying games and not worrying about getting famous.

I miss how Xbox One originally was without all the begging for followers, people thinking there better because they get 100 likes on a video from asking people to like it.

I personally think Xbox should limit how many ''followers'' you can get to solve this issue. And maybe limit how many post per day you can do. Oh and also limit how many messages you can send out a day!

Many people agree with me on this. So please consider this option....

I think of course probably the big thing or at least one of the big things that Microsoft will be discussing would be how Windows 10 and Xbox One are going to be working together.

One of the things that I am looking forward to hearing about is Assassin's Creed Syndicate as well as seeing how they are going to work Windows 10 with Xbox One.

I agree with Genchy... I haven't had a single person 'beg' me to follow them or like their video... Not. One.

 

Can't really say I've had anyone begging me to follow them, if I did then a simple delete and block won't take too long.

 

So the XBOne is becoming the gaming equivalent of Twitter ? Lol that's sounding just a bit sad too sad to even contemplate.

 

How is this any surprise? People strive so hard to raise their gamer score, their achievements, forum badges, and now followers. For some, these numbers represent status which raises their self esteem and gives them the illusion they are doing something
important and notable.

 

I've never had this happen at all.

 

I'm with Genchy and others on this - not once have I had anyone beg or anything. If they want to follow me, they can do so without pestering me about it. Just be grateful that there are no pop-up notifications every time someone follows you.

If you have an issue with things like this, take the initiative - block them, remove them, report them, or set your communication settings to friends only. There's numerous ways to handle this situation. Complaining about it here is not one of them.

Also, there's no point in unreasonably limiting certain features for everyone just because you're having a bad experience (especially since there's so many other ways to deal with it, as mentioned above) - it simply doesn't work that way.

@Rippen... Yep, he's like a bad smell you can't get rid of, just keeps stinking the place up.

 

It's a non issue for me. I don't feel a need to follow our be followed, nor do I care if someone likes my posts; I do however hit the like button if I particularly "like" something. Raising my gamer score started out as a friendly competition with a girl
from work, now it's something to track my progress in games and see if I can get a little more life out of them.

I don't Tweet, Facebook or any of this social medial crap..... I will never follow anyone and would immediately block anyone who feels the need to follow me (why would anyone care what I'm doing.... creepy + scary).... people need to start to worry about
important life issues other than status......
