Big Console Price Deduction, how the old users can be compensated?

MS is facing presure on the console, and started a compaign with a big discount, like shown in below linkage, with Forza Moto bundle or Titan Fall Bundle, the price is ony 449$, means the console only cost 399$, same as PS4!

Just few months, we have lost 100$, we are the first batch of enthusiast to buy XO, but suffered such big price lost. Should MS give some compensation for this. Or shall we return the console. I would change to PS4
considering the game performance!

Do Launch and First Month Xbox One Consoles Deserve a Free Game?

No the Xbox One is still $499 and not getting a 100 price deduction. The Titanfall edition Xbox One will also be $499, it'll just include the game for free. The 399 deal you read was for the UK which is in pounds not dollars.

But just because a console is new is no excuse to sell the same game to users of older consoles at half the price.

Make the X1 games half the price of 360 then more people might buy X1's.

Your right Shaggy but I'd be regretting selling first time I watched a movie, wanted to "Snap" Internet Explorer etc.

 

FerandoLic microsoft doesnt have to compensate anyone. Those are bundles which every gaming company does to get more people to buy there product.

 

Microsoft has been bundling their consoles with games since forever. Did you just noticed that they do this? It was your fault that you didn't wait. They always eventually begin to bundle their consoles with games. I was a Day One buyer, and I'm not
complaining at all. I bought Titanfall separately. Besides, anyone that has the cash to throw down on Xbox One shouldn't be too concerned with finances. Buying the game separately shouldn't have broken the bank, and if it did, then you should figure out
your priorities.

Maybe some of you can afford much higher price than me, but that is not the point we discussed here. On the customer standpoint, we should know whether our money was spent on the right side. I spent 650+$ only for the console coz the additional international
shipment fee & import tax. I do not care, because this is the standard process or so we called business model. If MS does the promotion after 1 year or later, I do not care either, that is business way too. But this console was just released less than half
year (considering maybe 5-8 year product life cycle), maybe still under LVM stage. How comes 25% deduction? IP5S has released more than 1 year (life cycle is only 2-3 years), but price is almost the same. Was MS not confident with their product.

The truth is, 12CU vs 18CU of the 2 consoles, and DDR3 vs GDDR5, but 499$ vs 399$. It is true most of the pp is so care about price. And so the sale of the lower one is 2-3 times than MS’s. Not only now but even big gap in Q2/Q3 forecast. We shall not afford
the error which MS did, they face big pressure of sales and then did some work-around way to match up the price with PS. That is because initially they did provide the great competitive product.

I did not really expect MS to do compensation but to spread the truth here. We all are the fans of MS from SW to HW, but they did not show enough sincerity to us. That’s all.
