BFBC2 v BF4 opinions...

I've played a lot of BF4 on xbox one, just over 100 hours according to my stats, and having never played bad company 2 before I dug out the old 360 and I must admit I feel that this is a better game even tho it's 4 years old... I've only played about
10 hours but I'm loving it, and I can't put my finger on the reason why.... sure, the graphics aren't anywhere near the beauty of BF4 but the gameplay seems a lot more 'fair' if that makes sense.... anyone else have any opinions on this?

BFBC2 last night. destroyed everyone. BF4 was a joke.

 

Connection errors

same here, haven't been able to connect to BFBC2 servers in days. BF4, and 1943 still work though

 

BC2 was the last real console battlefield game. When I first bought BF3 after playing BC2 like 2 years non-stop and racking up like 600 hours. It's the best. I knew after playing BF3. That Dice is going down hill. Over hyping destruction of BF3 and
BF4 when BC2 had the most destruction ever.

More buildings collapse on BC2 then all of BF3 and BF4 combined. I was iffy buying BF4 so I didn't bother buying it new. I waited till it was $22 then bought it to see the 64 player servers. Seems like no team work what so ever and so many lone wolfs
dying all over.

Also the spawning on BF4 is weird. You can spawn into so many death it's crazy. Also the new cops and robbers game doesn't get me to excited either. Shocked Dice doesn't just make BC3 already.

Also one big selling point for BC2 was tons of free maps with the vip pass. So we had tons of free replay value. Only thing we had to buy was NAM. Now days BF3 came with only 9 maps and we played the beta for a while and got sick of metro. I think its
the whole premium thing that turns most people off. I didn't bother buying premium for BF4.

I knew it was a mistake when I bought premium for BF3. Cause I knew they had the dlc far apart. Told most my friends yeah we be long gone playing other new games and wont be current on the dlc. Yeah we all went back to test out the new maps for a little
bit since we paid for them. But didn't seem the same.

 

that sounds more like one of the many joys of modern DLC gaming problems, over a BF4 problem, graw.. you can't have too many maps, or it's going to be overload once your required 4 DLC packs release. (i say that sarcastically, as i roll my eyes.. saddens
me what gaming has turned into. been gaming to long and saw all the good, these greed moves are still hard to accept even though they're the new norm)

 

I'm hoping more BF late comers realize that BC2 is the best game going for a good Battlefield Moments feeling. BF3 and even BF4 were dumbed down to attract the CoD-piece crowd. It's funny seeing all the low level wookies trying to adapt to a game that doesn't
hold your hand for you.

 

Don't remind me of the bush wookies. Yikes my teams was full of them. No wonder had a few losses other day. Bad enough one of my friends was sniping. Even though he was kinda close to the objective. So I kept spawning on him. But our team was horrible
and other side was loaded with high rankers. I was stuck with the new wave of scrubs. Was depressing. I still was walking away with the most points every match win or lose though.

 

I think bc2 is better than it has been in the last 18 months thanks to the free download. No longer playing against the same hackers ( yes the game has been hacked despite what dice claim) and the saddps with modded controllers. Getting some good fair gamrs
mow and the fun is back on the battlefield. No mps comes close but i am finding the new players have gpt to learn to play for the team. Been losing games we shpuld have won cause some seem lost. But saddest of all is the no hopers who resort to team killing
cause they get so frustrated at not being able to play proper.

 

I doubt its hackers. Probably someone playing far out of the region and using horrible bandwidth for advantage. That use to happen to me in Medal of Honor Warfighter. People from France would come play in US East and man the server ping got bad. Then
they all thought they were awesome. Yet when Japan players played in Europe servers and messed with them they cried.

 

it's 5 years old

the game is quick easy and simple, no worry about lame tags, or camouflage , or gun attachments.

the only issues i have is if BC2 had a server search browser other than it's quick join like feature, and when playing rush it would tell you how many tickets you had left before spawning back in.

last i really like the Vietnam dlc

 

lol, my k/d has gone up since the 're-release', and that takes some work at 82,000 plus kills. no hax or modded controllers, game soft ware limits ROF so turbo controllers don't work, I run the M1 99% of the time, and get accused of cheating a lot. nope,
standard controller...

 

Oh god how I miss playing BC2. Smacking kids around was so fun back in the day!

 

It was fun for a while. But still not many played NAM. Think NAM was only full first day of BC2 going free. Vanilla maps are okay. But I put a lot of hours on vanilla so I tend to get bored after a while.

 

went 44-18 on foot on White Pass, got 3 messages calling me a modder, lol. Then one particularly nasty one after I teabagged a entire squads burning LAV

 

For the fun factor, I still like bad company 2 more. For its simplicity, easy navigation for modding weapons, destructible environments, big maps wil 3-4 level complexes, rag doll physics, lol. What makes it fun I think for most is easiness of play I think,
anyone can play this. Can't say that about Battlfield 4....
