Bf:BC 2 Vietnam DLC Problem

I downloaded the game, then bought Vietnam. Now, when I start the game, Vietnam doesn't show up in the main menu.It works on other consoles, but not mine. I can't understand why this thing is being a @!#!$#$!@%!, nor how to fix it.

How do I play Battlefield Bad Company 2 Vietnam Offline?

Because BC 2 Vietnam is MP only, just like BF 1943, there is no singleplayer aspect to it.

Not a vet to forums, but a BF vet in general. only ones i havent played are 2142 and the BC vietnam expansion.

 

I got the opposite question, I did not buy the Vietnam DLC but the first time I went to the weapons section[ main menu], it sent me to download the Vietnam DLC and it was free. was like 1.6GB , haven't had time to play yet so I dunno what was going on.

 

There's 2 parts to the Vietnam DLC, you need to download the Vietnam Multiplayer update (which is 1.6GB) - this contains the latest multiplayer update files - this is FREE

You then need to purchase the Vietnam DLC (marketplace.xbox.com/.../f639e5f1-9d3d-4534-9cb0-c6809c46f941) to unlock the DLC (only about
a megabyte)

You need to have both to play the Vietnam DLC. the game should prompt you to download the Vietnam Multiplayer update when you load the game up

Personally though I'm not sure that Vietnam is worth buying these days, it's an excellent bit of DLC but the online community is pretty much dead

 

I just the mp update and the map packs are not in the store now and do not show in the menu to search for games either, it was all there yesterday and i played some matches on Harvest day, Heavy metal and Oasis, but today they are gone so they maybe having
some issues and took it down to sort it.

 

I tried Microsoft, nothing useful.

 

NAM is the only way to go for this game. I had a blast yesterday with NAM. Then when I go back to vanilla maps i'm like meh. lol

I hope you are being facetious vash. (I would hate to see someone that ignorant). I had a chat with Microsoft Support on Xbox.com, so obviously i talked to Microsoft.

 

I mean if you didn't know already Microsoft owns Xbox.

 

im having the same problem where none of the multiplayer updates are available to download, i luckily still had update 2 so i could still play onslaught but there are no other updates

 

I chatted with Microsoft Support again and they are "working on fixing it'.

 

So I just downloaded this game to play with my friends but I can't because there's this update missing.

GREAT MICROSOFT, JUST GREAT.

 

any word on when or how they're gonna "fix" the problem?
