1. Beyond a joke.

The PS4 is tapped out. It is physically impossible for it to run above 1080p 60fps, even upscaled. This is due to a 1080p only HDMI. The Xbox One could on a retail AAA output 1080p upscaled to 4K at 30fps (data cap on HDMI prevents 60fps unless a new HDMI
cable was issued to allow 4K 60fps). It could also on a small indie/arcade title output 4K Native 30fps (60 with new HDMI).

2. Also the Xbox One's CPU is stronger than PS4's CPU. Therefore better AI/Gameplay/World Size on Xbox One.

It was around during the PS3 launch years with 360 as well.

Another thing that some don't realize is that it was stated that the XB1 was like 6 months behind schedule. They couldn't let Sony get longer than a week Headstart and had to get it out.

I realized this prior to purchase, told my friends who were getting it as well. Which is why certain features aren't here, like Twitch stream.

however, the exclusive lineup was not worth waiting for, the games play fine, the online is great, controller is amazing, I'm fine with it. I also know that updates are coming. I started with the 360 at launch and it improved a lot over time, why would the
next Xbox not do that? Also the PS3 got a lot better over time, mainly the free games.
"it gets better" isn't exactly a thrilling prospect when the optics are telling that the console is many steps back from its competitor (for general gameplay performance in mutiplats) from the get go.

My response to the bolded: that is a narrative not a fact.

I have a ready to go tablet for my multi tasking needs, I have no intrest in paying 499 for a games console and shelling out 15-60 dollars for games that have microtrasactions in them ontop of the game price (ryse, forza, and halo Spartan assualt I don't watch
tv and I live outside the united states, I have no reason to buy xbox one.
if you are talking bout traditional compute you may be right or wrong. I'll debate this with links if I have too but its isn't as simple as you think.

The PS$ has robust GPGPU that can be acsseded thru dedicated memory lanes.

Though based on AMD's GCN architecture, there are several known differentiating factors between the PS4's GPU and current-gen PC graphics cards featuring first-gen GCN architecture:

• An additional dedicated 20 GB/s bus that bypasses L1 and L2 GPU cache for direct system memory access, reducing synchronisation challenges when performing fine-grain GPGPU compute tasks.
• L2 cache support for simultaneous graphical and asynchronous compute tasks through the addition of a 'volatile' bit tag, providing control over cache invalidation, reducing the impact of simultaneous graphical and general purpose compute operations.
• An upgrade from 2 to 64 sources for compute commands, improving compute parallelism and execution priority control. This enables finer-grain control over load-balancing of compute commands including superior game-engine integration

GPU gpu is where games are going next.

Playstation 4 GPU & Next Gen AMD Radeon Volcanic Island GPU Compute Similarities

GPGPU is primitive now but will be used a lot in the future.

However you already swallowed A narrative, I fully expect you to minimize what gpgpu means for gaming.

5. Where did I say you had to get the xb1?

I can care less what you buy for your entertainment needs.

But when I say I do get plenty of enjoyment out of the XB1 right now and see tons more in its future, you can't tell me I'm wrong.

The slight, very slight performance gap is nothing to stop me from enjoying the overall gaming entertainment.

The PS3 was a year after 360, big performance gap, and plenty of games were just fine on Xbox. It did not stop thousands of gamers from enjoying there chosen games.

And the one thing a lot of you naysayers don't realize is that there are tons of gamers out there who have gaming friends, shocking huh? People like me have made communities of XBl friends for over a decade now.

Why in the world would I abandon those friendships for a slightly better frame rate?

I won't and have no need to.

Again, this is just me and my friends.

If you have friends and all on PS, then I wouldn't expect you to not go there.

6. GPGPU has no direct bearing on CPU power rather GPU processing concerning CPU-like tasks. The raw AI/Multitask processing of the CPU is stronger on Xbox One because the PS4/XB1 have identical CPUs, but the Xbox One overclocks each core by .15 GHz effectively
creating another artificial core.
False.
What I said is true. If the game is rendering at 720p and you're playing it full-screen on a 1080p TV, it's being scaled. Where the scaling occurs and what component in the display path performs the scaling affects what
the final image looks like, but in both cases the original rendered image was a 1280x720 area of pixels when it came out of the game engine. The only way to view that natively on a 1080p display is 1:1 pixel mapping and that results in a large black border.
I didn't say it was. If you neglected to include the details of the display that's on you.

If your argument is that a 720p display is worse than a 1080p display, then that depends on multiple factors - the content being viewed, one's distance from it, and the type of display.
Why did the TV say 720p and then put it in the whole frame?

.

The argument of 720p being worse doesn't depend on anything. If 720p was just as good....it would be called 720p-B. The fact that 1080p has more pixels and since higher resolution cuts down on the jaggies, generally speaking....then it's fact....higher
resolution is better.

.

This is not debatable.

I have not to worry bout my friends, the vast majority made the switched to ps4.

Would you jump off a cliff if your friends were doing the same? Games are fun with friends that's not shocking news.

9. The TV is receiving a 720p INPUT. It is then scaling to 1080p. Simple.

I fully expect you to downplay gpgpu but it takes certain cpu intensive tasks off the cpu, and will be an important tech leap for PC/PS4.

You are not looking into the full picture. You are narrowing your vision (cause you a swallowing a narrative) to a speculated clock advantage that will have minimal dimished returns when it comes to the future of gaming.

12. Another core (virtual) in an 8 core CPU is a fair difference. PS4 clocks in at 1.6 GHz confirmed by Digital Foundry. Xbox One still has GPGPU, just a slightly less powerful one.

13. Beyond a joke.

Majority of my good friends, people I've games with since the 90s, all enjoy the XBL experience. It is known to be reliable and most importantly the exclusive games is what we are looking forward to that aren't offered on PS4. Mainly Titanfall, Halo, Fable,
Sunset Overdrive, Project Spark, to name a few.

I'm not gonna say you are wrong for choosing PS4 just like there is no possible way you can say I'm wrong with my choice. The only difference between us is that I don't go to PlayStation dedicated forums and spew nonsense.

Also, that whole jumping off a bridge thing is lame, but thanks dad.

Anyway, I'm usually the leader, so I would make the leap first.
The clock speed is not confirmed it is speculated.

Xbox has GPGPU but it is not slightly less powerful it is nearly useless as it does not have a deditcated memory lane, does not have customizations to the compute ques (this means it will actually have to take moderate hits in tradional gpu performance to use
its gpgpu) and above all else only has 2 ace cores not 8 like the ps4.

You are going to downplay gpgpu. Cause you honestly think a slight upclock on a cpu and gpu (that has to deal with a split ram pool DDR3 and ESRAM) is a big deal

titanfall will do well as it's also being sold on 360 and PC. Project spark looks intresting, I fully expect the pc community for the game to do wonderful things. Also on 360 too

Bungieless halo bores me as it did many after the halo 4 sales boom followed by massive drop off rate to the online community (like diablo 3 on pc)
