Better Xbox series x controller bluetooth drivers on windows

Hello,

I have an xbox series x controller, ps4 and 8bit do pro 2. they all work fine/as expected when wired on Windows. But when connected through Bluetooth the series x one is the worst performer. In older games (say, 360 era games, but even modern ones) inputs are wrong or not responding.

I've updated everything from apps to firmware.

Adding a compatibility layer in the Bluetooth driver would be helpful for these games. and no, i'm not getting the wifi dongle.

Steam can do some interpreting, but that's about it.

8bit do pro2 has the best drivers so far.

some game examples : mass effect 1-3, nier replicant, yakuza series before 6, need for speed heat, trackmania on EGS.

Well no ps4 nor dual sense controllers require third party drivers like steam or ds4win

This is due to sony not supporting non sony platforms rPoperly

You don't you update firmware or roll back your drivers

Are you sure you are using Bluetooth 4 or higher ?

Cause it sounds like latency

2.4 or lower won't cut it for next gen controllers for more info on which version of Bluetooth you can read your laptop manual

You can get Bluetooth 4 or higher dongles cheap on amazon I use then for my dual sense controller

Any controller works wired into pc except for duakshock or sense unless you are using steam or ds4win

it's not latency or connection issues, it's buttons/sticks not working in some games when connecting the xbox controller with bluetooth

halo infinite / forza horizon 3,4,5 work with no issues over bluetooth. mirror's edge, the first one, doesn't. but i dont have this issue with ds4windows or 8bitdo bluetooth connections.

so i believe the xbox controller bluetooth drivers could be improved on windows. a lot.

it uses wifi that the xbox has a receiver and sender for, similar to the microsoft pc wireless adapter but obviously built into the console.

no bluetooth at all. there is not a single bluetooth chip in the console, the modern xbox controller connect via wifi to the console or bluetooth to phones and pc if not using the adapter for pc. only the controller has bluetooth and this is basic at best.

No Bluetooth for Xbox Series X

The Xbox Series X doesn't have Bluetooth, similarly to the Xbox One, Xbox One S, and Xbox One X. The reason is simple; the Bluetooth signal isn't strong enough to meet Microsoft's specifications for latency. Microsoft uses its proprietary signal, dubbed Xbox Wireless, for connecting controllers and other accessories, like the Turtle Beach Stealth 600 and the SteelSeries 9X wireless headsets.

Microsoft's signal is far stronger than Bluetooth. Since many people typically game while sitting far away from their consoles in the living room or so on, Bluetooth's susceptibility to interference increases exponentially at longer ranges. If you were hoping you could use a USB Bluetooth adapter, it wouldn't work either, as the Xbox Series X and other Xbox One consoles don't have the drivers necessary to power them.

This doesn't work on bluetooth mode and buttons works inaccurate . Need patch to solve this or make a seperate drivers for xbox wireless controller series x

Xbox One Game receiver for Windows 10

Bluetooth (PC, Android, iOS)
