    Is there a better way to install xbox one games? I wish i could buy them on a flash drive. Can i download them from a computer to a flash drive and then install to console?

    i am in an area where our download speed averages about 500 kb/sec. on a good day, and with no other traffic. I can download much more efficiently at work, but cannot bring my console to download there. Is there a way to download using my laptop and then
    install to console later? It really sucks when a game takes 2 weeks to download, or an “update” takes a day or 2. I can deal with the updates, i guess. Really wish Microsoft would sell the game on a flashdrive, and not assume that everyone has unlimited data,
    and excellent speeds.

    I wouldnt say dropped that ball. It would cost a lot of money to offer them on disc and on a flash drive.

    I only see it getting worse next gen with games getting bigger and bigger.

    Yeah except still forced to do large download. Buying the disc really doesnt help much. 25 GB from the disc. Still has 50 GB network download. Ive been loyal to xbox since day 1. They dropped the ball on this one.

    Hey - a trick I learnt for disc-based games is to switch yourself offline while doing the initial install, and then connect to the internet for patches. Doesn't work for all games and obviously doesn't help for digital, unfortunately - but saves a fair
    bit of speed versus trying to download/install at the same time.

    The only way to install them is through the console itself. There is no way to download through a laptop to install on the console. You could purchase them on disc and install them offline.
