    Better tools for managing game clips and live storage


    The Xbox App is abysmal. I've been trying for 4 hours to download all of my clips (which admittedly is a lot) but they constantly fail to download and once downloaded they refuse to be deleted.

    We should have more options for managing clips. Preferably, we should have the option to export all clips to either OneDrive or our PC. The Xbox App needs to function better and let us download/move/delete multiple clips instead of having to manage them
    individually. You made improvements over the past couple of years, but we're not quite there yet.

    A lot of problems could be solved by giving us direct access to these files on the Xbox. Having to use a program to interact with a server is a pain.

    Hi! Why xbox live storage is so small. I have 123 clips (mostly 720p and a few 1080p) and 18 screenshots and my storage is 96% full... Come on. I can't even imagine what its like for people who take 4k clips. I guess I just have to delete some of my great

    Managing Storage

    When it autosaves it puts it on your hardrive or other USB drives. (whatever you pick). and once it saves you can go to xbox home, go to settings, console settings, storage, and copy, delete, and move files from hardrive to USB.

    Typically you will have to enter the Upload Studio to manage clips and save them to the drive fully, or better yet upload them to your OneDrive. However clips typically get deleted when they are old and unused and/or you do not have enough storage on the
    Console to keep them with the recording of newer ones. However if you do not see your game clips in Upload Studio or using the Xbox.com website and or other websites such as Xboxclips.com then unfortunately I doubt those clips will be re-obtainable

    I agree, we need more file management tools on the Xbox for game saves, game storage and capture management. As it is right now, to manage captures we have to load them one by one to edit or delete.

    This support page, Manage storage on Xbox has information to assist you.

    Formatting the USB, with NTFS using a PC, is correct if you want to store game clips and screenshots on it and make it your capture location. Be aware that any captures stored on an external drive cannot be uploaded to XBox Live and your activity feed or clubs etc.

    Formatting the USB by using the console to format is for storing games and apps.

    A potential cause of the problem, may be that you're storage of clip/screenshot is full. To deal with this go into your profile and view your clips and click manage clips. Delete the ones you don't want
