    Headset for the hard of hearing

    The color blind setting is just a software setting change on the video. I would not expect Xbox to have a specialized headset for what you're looking for.

    Search online for "headset for hard of hearing 3.5mm"

    If you have a newer controller, it will have a 3.5mm jack where you can purchase and use your headset of choice for your needs as long as it has a 3.5mm jack and it uses the CTIA standard that Android phones use.

    There are many different headsets on the market.Many ,such as the higher up models of Turtle Beach ones have built in amps.I use them for late night tv as well as gaming because even though my tv is on low volume I can hear my show at the same volume as
    the movie theatre.

    Make sure to open the Xbox guide button and go to 'preferences' on the far right tab.From there you can adjust the volume.Sometimes by turning the tv volume up will also raise the volume of the Turtle Beach headsets.Then there should be a volume on the

    And also with headsets like the Turtle Beach, you can independently adjust in-game voice and sound volumes, ie, you can turn the game sounds volume very low or even off while turning up the in-game chat/voice volume.

    I have just replaced the headphone jack.

    No joy.

    I DID however hear sound in headphones on power-up then once the Xbox green screen disappeared

    the headphone went dead and the muted microphone icon is still there.

    Wondering how to hard/factory reset the controller?
