Bethesda code applied to wrong email

Xbox support recently helped me move my xbox acciunt from an old email addreas to a new one. When i applied the code to gain access to Fallout 76 B.E.T.A., the XBOX Store message said "This will be applied to your [old email] address." I saw no way to change
it so i said fine.

Now when i launh the game, Bethesda asks for my email address. It auto-populates with my new email address. I find out later that Bethesda has sent an email to this new account to create an account. Problem is, now upon launch of of Fallout 76 Beta, it says
"Login failed. This account lacks the required entitlements."

Why did the store apply my code to the old address? (In settings, xbox shows my new address.)

I suppose id idhave to work with Bethesda to get a new code, but even if i got one, how to i get xbox store to apply it to my current email address?

Hello!

It sounds like you're having trouble with a prepaid code apparently being redeemed onto a previous account. I recommend you
Contact Xbox Customer Support and see if a representative can check the code itself and hopefully see where the code was redeemed to.

Thanks! Staff verified the code has been applied to my account amd that both email addresses are tied to the account. I think perhaps my beta "window" just hasn't opened yet.

I tried that and it kept trying to apply it to the wrong email. "This will be applied to wrongemail" and whatnot when i try to redeem it.

Rookie mistake - I had to sign out of the other account... it kept me signed into both and the wrong email one was dominating the show. I got it now. It's applied to the right one now. :3 Sorry for the confusions...

Usually code transferrals aren't possible on Xbox Live.

But you can still try to call the xbox phone support and ask for a change, but I think they won't do it.

Are you certain that you activated the card on the proper account? You should double check all accounts on the console.

You can also sign in to commerce.microsoft.com to see if the code was applied there as well.

If you cannot find the answer you need or you accidentally applied the code to the wrong account then call phone support and explain the situation to you. They may be able to remove the membership and send you a code for a new one via email. 1-800-469-9269
