    Beta Tester for Xbox Games?

    I am not sure how people get to be beta testers for games. My friend preordered SWTOR and got a chance to do some beta testing. I think before it was released, they did several waves of beta testers.

    Beta Tester for Xbox Games?

    I have never been a beta tester and I am not sure I would want to be one. I like just playing a game and if I had to stop playing to make notes I would be mad. I am not even sure what a beta tester does.

    Beta Tester

    If you are talking about the system update betas then you have to be invited by MS or a person on your friends list that is already in the beta.

    you would probably have to go and apply for a job at a gaming studio. When you see a game released to the pulic that says "beta" you are not really functioning as a beta tester. You are in essence creating "load" on a server, the studio at that time is testing
    how servers handle thousands of people online all at once (worst case scenario, example the battlefield and GTA server outages), or how the cloud is running computations etc. A REAL beta tester is a person who sits behind a screen with a list of bugs and a
    list actions one has to perform to re-create said bugs. The real thing can be a very monotonous job. Hope this clarifies things a little for you. Coming from a QA tester himself.

    Hey there RTG Elround! If you would like to become a Beta Tester for the Dashboard, just keep checking up on the forums and when they are in need of some beta testers, they will officially announce it. :)

    Thought I was going to enjoy this title. Not so much.

    I don't fault the play testers nor the alpha and beta testers. I have been in alpha and beta programs. We can only report what we find. If the programmers/company don't listen or don't allocate resources to resolve the problems, its not the tester's faults.
