    Beta Tester Doubts


    So... I recently signed up to be a game tester on Microsoft User Research.

    However browsing for some more time on the net, I found out another website Microsoft Connect is Retired - Collaborate.

    Could someone tell me the difference in purpose between the two websites and whether I have to sign up on both?

    Beta Tester for Xbox Games?

    I am not sure how people get to be beta testers for games. My friend preordered SWTOR and got a chance to do some beta testing. I think before it was released, they did several waves of beta testers.

    Wasn't that why the ran a Beta test? Did they actually change anything from the Beta? (My guess would lean towards no). I doubt they'd listen any more than they did with this site.

    You’ll be coming to our Redmond, WA Microsoft Studios to try out the latest in gaming and rich entertainment experiences, with a chance to tell us what you like and don’t like. A typical study lasts about one to two hours.

    the 2nd seems like you don't need to go to Redmond,WA just doing it at home.

    Hey there RTG Elround! If you would like to become a Beta Tester for the Dashboard, just keep checking up on the forums and when they are in need of some beta testers, they will officially announce it. :)

    Thought I was going to enjoy this title. Not so much.

    I don't fault the play testers nor the alpha and beta testers. I have been in alpha and beta programs. We can only report what we find. If the programmers/company don't listen or don't allocate resources to resolve the problems, its not the tester's faults.
