    Hello I have purchased a second hand xbox 1 from an estate sale. The console is on the beta program and i would like it removed. Normal channels haven't worked for me so i'm hoping someone may be able to help here. The original owner is deceased and i have
    no idea how find his account let alone a password.

    I've seen in my internet searches that it is possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated as i'm tired of waiting 4 hours for an update with my crappy bandwidth to only play for an hour a week.

    What program are you talking about? If it is the preview program then you would request removal via the preview dashboard on the console

    Sorry to hear it. As per the rules of this particular beta you were not allowed to give away, trade or sell the codes you received. Any attempt to do so could result in your removal from the preview program and the possibility of not being included in
    future programs.

    This is stated plainly in the dashboard preview.

    Removing the program from your dashboard doesn't remove the beta updates already on your console. There's currently no way to remove the updates that you've received from the beta program.

    All questions about the beta program should be limited to the forums.

    However, if you're asking to be removed from the program simply head to the beta dashboard on your console and remove it (and yourself) from there. Be aware though that you will not be completely removed until the current dashboard beta is fully released
    to the public.
