Best tv/no lag for 360

Anyone have any suggestions for an hd TV that's 1080p and has no lag. I don't need a smart tv I just want something that's clear and great for gaming with no lag. Any suggestions are appreciated.

X1 has blown me away...

I'm UK, I'm actually running my Xbox 360 through the hdmi so I can switch from 360 to xbox one just by saying 'xbox tv' for pseudo backwards compatibility. I've so far played videos off the xbox 360 through the one with no lag, run last.fm on the 360 through
the one with no lag, and played assassins creed revelations on the 360 through the one with no lag, so not sure why your tv input would be laggy just running sky, maybe something on the sky box side of things?

 

Xbox One component cable adapter?

In response to the "OMG get a HDMI tv" I play Call of Duty with a sony WEGA because it is the best image tv with NO input lag. Any LED/LCD or plasma has input lag. I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars to be slower at a game.

 

Plasma TV's have the highest refresh rate that equals less, if no blur. I play on a 54" Panasonic Z1. I think 32" is the smallest. Anything 42" and under, you only need 720P. You would not notice the differance going up to 1080P

A lot of the recent/modern tvs, LCD or Plasma have a gaming setting that will have no noticeable lag. I use a 65 inch Sharp Aquos LCD TV I bought in 2009, and it looks fantastic. But I just bought a 60 inch Sharp Aquos Smart Tv about 3 weeks ago(2013 edition)
that looks phenomenal, it has a setting that is 480hz refresh, but looks garbage with games. But when I put it in game mode, it goes down to 120hz refresh which is plenty refresh rate for most games, I do not see any motion blur at all. But as a recommendation
I would go with a Plasma, considering the cheaper price, and also not a big deal anymore with screen burn anymore, and also no worry about refresh rate compared to LCD based tv's.

Thanks for your advice guys. What do you guys think about this tv? Samsung 60" Class (60.0" Diag.) LED FH6200 Series TV Or do you think plasma is still the way to go? Thanks.

 

Also what are your thoughts on this one 60" Class (60.0" Diag.) Plasma 530 Series TV

PN60E530A3F I don't think it has a "game mode" option but do you guys think this would be a good choice?

Call me crazy ( I am crazy. I am tryhardestest crazy), but I do this ritual to get rid of lag every time I start my Xbox 360.

-

1. Turn off FIRST HDMI device in the chain two times (if its only your TV and no receiver, then turn off the TV two times)
   
2. Change the HDMI colorspace to something else then back to the original setting you had before
   
3. Change digital audio setting to something else then back to what you had it before
   
4. Turn off the first HDMI device 8 more times for a total of 10
5. Change HDTV resolution to 720p from anything you had it before. If you have 720p currently selected, change it to something else then back again
   
6. Done

This takes about 5 minutes each time depending on how fast your HDMI device turns off and on. I usually don't mention this silly method to anyone wanting to reduce input lag unless they are as paranoid as I am with it. This basically shows that there is
a flaw in the HDMI interface for handshaking as I do this for my gaming computer and the lag gets smaller.

[/quote]Hey there Most Inf3rior! Before taking my advice, I just want to let you know that I use to be a TV Salesmen in the Electronics department at Sears. The best TV I would recommend would be a plasma, but be mindful that plasma's have many bad
things about them more then good things. They are more heavy then any LED or LCD TV so if you move around a lot, it wouldn't be too good.. They also are like mirrors. Having windows facing toward the TV would reflect a lot. It's also hard to find one that
has a 1080pixel resolution. Also, you can't leave them on a screen freeze for that long either (like pausing a game for a long time) otherwise the picture can get burnt into the screen.

I personally have a RCA LED 1080p with 60Hz with my Xbox 360 hooked up with an HDMI cable. I would recommend getting more Hz then that though if I was you, but I really like it and play games every day on it and don't experience lag hardly at all. I hope that

Just thought I'd let you guys know I just recently picket up a Sony kdl55w950b. It has a 17ms response time so I shouldn't be noticing any input lag. I'll also be happy to experiment with the 3d and smart tv features. Only downfall is it doesn't have the
best black levels supposedly but owell I guess you can't have best of both worlds. In anxious to get it and try it out though. It's my first big screen!
