Best Stepdown Converter

Hello!

I bought a US Xbox One and intend to use it in Denmark, so I'm looking for a 220V --> 110V converter. I've searched around for hours and only found $70+ converter boxes and $70+ original PSU's on eBay. There has to be a cheaper/smarter way to do this. Can
any recommend any specific products I can use?

Power Brick issue

I have been using a third-party powerbrick, since my xbox one is from Japan (using 110V) and my country uses 220V. However, the powerbrick stops working after two weeks.

I asked in a local store, and they recommended me to purchase a step down converter (from 220V to 110V). This will enable me to use 110V official power adapter from Microsoft Japan. (i.e., stepdown converter from 220AC to 110AC, which is then connected to
110V official power adapter, which is then connected to Xbox One).

However, Xbox One officially use 215Watts, but my step down converter only support 200 AC output at its maximum. To my knowledge, if you use 215 Watts appliants, you need at least 300 AC converter as there will likely be energy loss when transferring from
the stepdown adapter to the appliant.

But, when I look at the unofficial, third-party powerbricks for Xbox one, they are all outputting 135Watts only. Therefore, is my 200AC stepdown converter be enough? Does anyone have experience in using stepdown converter?

You may ask why I did not purchase an official adapter from Microsoft to be used in my country. My answer is that they are all sold out.

Power solution

You should never use any type of stepdown/power converter with your console.

You would need to buy the correct power brick for the country you will be using the console in.

I don't really have a choice... I contactef Microsoft support, none of them could get me a new PSU and they recommended me to use a stepdown converter.

And all the expensive original PSU's on eBay I can find are only US... But I have the possibility to get a 1000W stepdown converter with extra fuses for only $65

Hi All,

The best option is to kind of wait , for another month(if its not much of a waiting time for you).

Another option is to get UK Power brick(would cost u 30 pounds)

MS doesnt suggest using stepdown voltage converter as well...

I am currently in india using a US Console.

The converter is rated at 20 Watts. The Xbox 360 console (depending on the model) however draws up to 180Watts.

You need to get a stepdown converter that is able to sustain 200 Watts, and then the console will work. Your current 20 Watt converter is "too weak" to power the Xbox 360.
