Best Router For Xbox One?

Had a Netgear Router and had no lag, Upgraded to Superhub 2 and get a bit of lag. I have always and will always use wireless connection on my Xbox, Been with Xbox for a very very long time and love it. Please someone tell me a good router to purchase as
Virgin Media doesn't supply them. Router has to be dual band and have a decent range that will definitely stop the little lag patches. I don't mind spending a decent amount of money as long as it will stop the lag as I am a serious gamer. Just please someone
tell me a router that I can purchase that will have no lag, I am aware of the compatibility issues with the Superhub 2 and Xbox One. I would really appreciate suggestions as Titanfall is out soon and I don't want to play laggy Titanfall. Thanks Microsoft and

Best Router For Your Xbox?

There are a ton of Cisco (Linksys) N routers. Some of them better than others. I'd say go to Amazon and Newegg and check some of them out and look at the reviews to make sure there isn't a comon theme in the complaints (such as messed up firmware when
shipped, etc.). The Linksys 3500 seems like a good router. Take look at this guy:

Look at some of the others in this line. When going with N look for Dualband wireless. They tend to put a better proc and RAM in those as opposed to single band ones (like the Linksys 160N).

Check out Netgear R7000 Nighthawk, their ads said "it's optimized for Xbox one / 360". I got one, an have no problem with NAT being open, on the Xboxes. Great WiFi range, an dual band, and QoS support.

I always recommend plugging directly into the router itself. It helps slightly with ping.

 

I have the Asus RT-AC66U. It's been rock-solid, has an "Optimized for Xbox" option in the Wireless settings (although I have mine hard-wired, so I don't really know what it does), and what I really like is it has separate guest networks that you can set
up when friends and family come over.

 

I have a ASUS RT-N56U and it works great also. No NAT issues, great router. BUT, if I was in the market of getting a new one (Which I may be anyways cause im crazy) is to grab a R7000 Nighthawk.

 

Netgear R7000 is one of the best routers available at the moment IMO. It plays very nice with my Xbox One and has had rock solid performance since day one.
