  1. Best non dlc stuff?

Okay, Derp, I looked at my two most recent and best characters to see what I had. The archer is at level 55 and the mage, my last build, went to level 82 so she could fry a legendary dragon. Both have sneak at 100 with the archer having 9 perks and the mage
having 11. Both wear Vampire armor with a circlet (it looks really good on the women, even with the cut-out on the chest).

The mage has a bow for back-up and uses a strong buff because her archery is really low. Her armor gives her full resistance to fire, frost, shock and magic. She has a buff for carry, light armor and water breathing. She also is still using the gauntlets
that have 188% sneak buff. What can I say, she's squishy and magic is noisy. But if she stands still in sneak she is invisible.

The Archer has three bows all legendary nordic doing 388 damage with some hefty fire or shock plus stamina. Her armor gives full resistance to fire, frost, shock and magic plus free destruction and conjuration, a lot of extra carry, barter at 59% which makes
prices really good, and sneak at 96%. She is also rarely seen even when moving fairly fast and is nearly invisible standing still in a shadow.

  2. So, Derp, since I'm of the ilk that tends to overthink things, I decided to test sneak. I took both the level 55 archer and the level 82 mage to Sky Haven Temple to try out some twitchy foresworn. There is a cave opening with a loading screen to get to Karthspire
and 2 foresworn on the ledge in front of the opening. When both appeared without being in sneak they were seen and attacked immediately. I then reloaded and exited the cave in sneak but without the buffed gauntlets. Neither was seen or heard (because I didn't
move once I went into the loading screen) until I put an arrow into the seated one. The other then saw me after just a brief time looking for me and attacked. Then I put the 96% gauntlets on the level 55 archer. This time after popping the seated foresworn
the standing one looked longer but then found me. The 188%gauntlets on the mage worked best (lol). After popping the seated foresworn, the standing one and one other just below the ledge both were aware of my presence but didn't find me until one ran into
me. I never moved however since moving would have helped them find me. Going into an open area in sneak without any buffs is hard to do against twitchy foresworn but buffed they will usually lose me if I stand still for a while even out in the open.

I hope this helps you with your sneak issues. Sorry if it was more than you wanted to know.

  3. It's all good im probably gonna ditch the sneak enchantment for something else since im usually at long distance when I use archery and use invisibility when going in for throat a cut.

Just really wish it could make you invisible in most cases instead of just making it harder to see you for a few mere seconds.

If you have good alchemy and an alchemy suit you can make longer lasting potions though they all go away as soon as you do something. Still, there are times when a longer invisibility can get you into a better position to fight. You can actually act while
invisible in ESO and that is useful. However, I found having a full chameleon suit in Oblivion to take a lot of the fun out of sneaking. There were really only two times I used it because it was the best solution for the problem, at least for me.

  5. I usually use the invisibility spell lol, haven't really got into alchemy yet as I hate having to gather ingredients since shops usually don't carry a large ammount of what I need.

  6. Invisibility is luna moths and nirnroot both easy to collect. I like the potions because I can get various lengths for whatever I need. For example, i use a fairly long one to go into Movarth's Lair early so I can get the house. I !m not strong enough to
tackle everybody so I stay out of trouble slurping potions to get in position, the snipe Moverth, go invisible again and escape. He respawns so I go back later when I'm stronger and wipe them out properly.

  7. Still it would be alot easier to just use the spell over the potion unless your going for a major archery or magic shot.

I love that I can go invisible, knife someone in the back (with invisibility ready beforehand), then go right back to being invisible after the kill.

Makes it so much easier when clearing out groups of enemies with lines of sight to each other.

Does spark damage+fiery soul trap not work together with 100% fortify destruction?

Had spark maxed to 46 and set soul trap to 1 second and it still takes charges. It works with fire damage (also at 46) and fiery soul trap so idk what is going on.

Also spark and fire damage are both the first enchantment.

  9. Not sure. May have something to do with lightning spells costing more magicka to cast.

  10. Soul Trap is not a destruction spell but a conjuration spell so you would need both destruction and conjuration free for it to never need charging. But, a 1 second soul trap gives a batch of charges so it shouldn't require much to charge it. I always recharged
mine with petty soul gems before I got free conjuration.

  11. Did you read my post? It required no charge when i was using with fire damage and fiery soul trap. For some reason the spark and fiery soul trap does require recharging.

Sorry, I misread . Still, it shouldn't require charging that often. Is it really draining? I only like soul trap by itself so it doesn't waste soul gems. If I want to hunt, I do.

  14. It shouldnt require recharging at all with fortify destruction since the spark has more power than the fiery soul trap.

Sounds like the same thing I had with one of my swords. Fiery soul trap and drain health. Thing would discharge like crazy. I used a Black Gem to make it too. I finally hung it up and put fire and health on the new one. I think it's the fiery soul trap that
does it. The new one acts like the rest and takes a lot of hits before I need to recharge. I now use my bow for souls and as LadyB said, I make sure I'm not filling Grands with lesser or common souls. My soul hunting is very specific these days. I once had
40# of soul gems on me.
