  1. Best Method for Xbox One streaming?

My xbox is right next to my router and my PC. I just got windows 10 and am planning on streaming to the PC because I lack speakers for my Xbox. When I tried to stream over wi-fi, it was extremely laggy and low quality (though this is probably my fault for
having a 2.4ghz router), so I'm planning on using an ethernet cable for my xbox. The thing is, I found another method of connecting the xbox to the PC, link is here: Connect Xbox One to Xbox Live Without a Router.
So my question is, should I connect to live using the pc, or connect an ethernet cable directly to the router for the best streaming experience?

    :)

Ok so i encountered my first....well 2nd dragon actually.....what to do............

Sorry but it's going to be difficult to answer. There is no one way of anything in regards. Simply find what works "best" for you. In general, it is best to have at least one Ranged Attack Method and one Close Attack Method. How
you do this is solely up to you.

  4. Best Method for Xbox One streaming?

If you really want to get into streaming, i would suggest buying some streaming hardware.

First you would need a capture card. It's a way of sending the Xbox One Video and Audio to the PC, so that the PC can stream it to Twitch or whatever other streaming site you are thinking of.

There are many different capture cards, so you will have to see what best fits you.

The other thing you need is a good mic (not from a headset) that you can connect to the pc. Good choice is Audio Technica 2020+ USB. or the AT 2035 XLR with a Behringer XENYX 302 USB mixer. Oh and you should invest in a microphone stand + pop filter to
    reduce noise to the mic.

This might all sound a lot, but if you really want to give streaming a good try i would highly recommend this.

The good thing about buying these additional items is that they have uses beyond streaming.

The capture card can also record if you want to start/grow your youtube channel with good quality videos.

And the mic and mixer always comes in handy with either.

It's well worth it if you have the means to get them.

  5. Oh and stream with Ethernet cable, not wifi. You don't want trouble with wifi mid-stream.

It's absolutely can be done, but if you can, go with Ethernet is my opinion at least.

(I am under the assumption your wanting to play the xbox through your PC, not stream you playing xbox to service like twitch)

I would imaging you'd be better use an ethernet cable, but you'd have to try both and test them to be user, although I am not sure sharing the internet through a PC is the same as linking them using the network, infact I am fairly sure its not. your going
to need an OK PC to make it smooth and to set the settings to max.

If you are just talking about playing your XB on your PC monitor... (not twitch stream) there is no need to connect your XB directly to your PC as all the info is sent through your network... meaning the output travels from your XB to your router and gets
forwarded to your PC running W10

Okay, so some people obviously misunderstood my intentions, which is mostly my own fault. I do not plan on streaming on twitch. I plan on playing my Xbox using my PC monitor.

  11. If you want to play your Xbox One via the Xbox app on Windows 10 then I would recommend connecting both devices to your router.

When trying wifi I found that the Xbox app was very spotty in detecting my Xbox One, where it found it everytime when connected by Ethernet cable.

This way has the added benefit of being able to use an Xbox 360 controller for playing the games. A big bonus for people like me who prefer the 360 controller or simply if you need an extra controller for two player games.

A question that needs asking though is what monitor do you have? Mine for example has a HDMI port and built in speakers, meaning I can just plug the One directly into it.
